What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a bit of a late start here in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of Bacon, eggs, Heck-it’s-a-sausage and fibreflour slice came in at 4.9 this am

Lazy, lazy day today - must be post bin day blues.
Yesterday’s planned outing and explore went well. We found animal tracks, seed heads, maple helicopters, magic sticks, early dropped conkers, chicken of the woods (edible fungus) and all manner of exotic creatures hidden from view.
Swing parks, ice cream, feed the ducks, spot the herons, back in time for fruit juice and a biscuit. Wish we had taken the grandchildren now!

@gennepher and @Muddy Cyclist - nice and simple but got something down, super duper. As I am on a very slow tick over today I am joining ranks.

Hope everyone has a good day. I am organising fresh koffy if anyone want’s some.

@dunelm I love this!

Morning...a dull day so far but the sun is making a bit of an effort...no FBG can't get into it at the moment my weekend...off to sort out work and hopefully some of the paperwork today...keep safe everyone.

Another 8.2 despite 2hrs in the gym yesterday ...mmm maybe I should have spent more of the time exercising rather than looking at the fit guys lol

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 5.4 this morning on the meter of mystery and misbehaving, strenuous morning planned so me and me's shall be juggling insulin again, If this carries on I shall be looking for employment as a juggler in a circus.

Some nice arty flatulent works of art and photographs, keep up the good work.
Well fellow posters what shall we make of today? Media avoidance is a high priority for me, and is it high priority for you all?
Whatever, strive for maximum enjoyment.
hugs for the numbers alf x

A very interesting article. I was especially interested in what they say about vitamin D because right at the beginning my daughter was advised by a doctor friend to start taking a high dose Vit D supplement as it had been proved to be effective against the more serious side effects.

When I was first suspected of having the virus in March my doctor put me on vit D amongst others.

That's really interesting. So the word about vitamin D is definitely getting around. Although there is one major problem - the pharmaceutical companies can't make massive profits from it.

John Campbell has been putting out this message for ages, as are some of the medics he interviews from other countries.

Yet it was not considered to be a factor in problems ethnic minorities had during the worst of the pandemic???

Ventured out to my barber's house this am, it was the first official cut of my hair since
Nov last year.
Well, the duchess did nag it once and I cut the sides looking in the windows from outside (so I didn't get into trouble cutting and dropping hair in the bathroom).
I need not have been concerned, he wore a visor and coverall, so much so I joked with him about how he would have also been a surgeon 200 years ago!
With typical gritty Cumbrian humour he asked me if I would like some blood letting as well as an hair cut?
Which I declined! :)

The barber's round here, take absolutely no precautions at all. No shields, no facemasks. It is business as pre-covid times....

People are not even fond of wearing masks round here...

4.5 this morning after a bit of a restless night in fact at 3 AM I was amusing myself by playing nessun dorma on my Amazon Echo.

Wife was not so amused though.

Perhaps you were inspired and gave it the enthusiasm it deserved, as it was when it was the world cup theme..

GOOOOAAALLLLLLL....:hilarious::hilarious:

Greetings all. Wet and chilly here but the newly seeded and fenced lawn is benefiting. Stabbo has me pegged at 5.3 today which is a poor return for LC woe IMHO but in the circs it may be better than it appears. #kneegate improved with naproxen and tea, tea, tea. 2 granddaughters for the price of one today and the jewel in the crown - grandson- after school:):) Hope this finds you as it leaves me, really don't wish you were here - wouldn't wish that on anyone. See, @Muddy Cyclist I'm totally inoculated against contentment. Pip pip old toots.

STABBO...hahaha :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

sounds like you might be having TOO much of a day, judging by the Mona videos your being forced to watch.

seems very much a Stockholm syndrome developing.:bag:

shall keep a close eye on posts,
tip us the wink if you need the CBeebies Police called..;):D

Interesting science article on Covid-19. You may have seen it already but just in case...

https://elemental.medium.com/a-supe...teresting-new-theory-has-emerged-31cb8eba9d63

strangely enough was reading that last night.

Does 'seem' to pull all the randomness of the disease together for the first time, that i have read.

and again VIT D..we took ours on the advise of others, and have read many more suggest it.

crazy that such news wasn't directed more at the BAME community, based on the reports of being more susceptible.

Great link, anyway.

cheers for posting.

BTW....Brilliant news that lungs/life is getting Easier/ Better

5.1 this morning. Lots more admin today and emails to answer because everyone is returning their Covid-19 forms.

This month is a sort of anniversary. 8 years ago I took statins for 26 days which caused massive muscle damage and my resting heart rate to raise to 100 from the low 60s.

My Consultant told me that it would only take 3 years for the damage to heal. I obviously heal very slowly and it took 7 years for the muscle damage to resolve.

At last resting heart rate has dropped to the low 60s. Over the 8 years it has moved so slowly down through the 90s, 80s and 70s that I thought it would never go back to my usual normal. So I am really happy today.

WHOA..And what a GREAT anniversary to celebrate then, a long tome coming.. but now it's here....

All in hand. CBeebies, Netflix, Amazon Prime and later Youtube Minecraft for the big fella - 7- on his tablet, phone or iPad. Phenominal Skips, Pombears, nappies, baby wipes and sudocream bill devloping! Seems I'm being paid in cuddles - how do you explain social distancing to 2 year and 15 month old babies?

On way to Tesco I was taken with the dull day changing to a bright sunny day so scooted back home for paints and sketch pad to do a quick Plein Air sketch in watercolur will use it to create a proper painting. 15 minutes A4.

Visit to MILs bungalow put off until Friday, Mrs MC forgot she had hairdresser appointment today.:)

You can't so don't even try just keep your distance when possible and won't hurt their feelings too much.

I know it's not easy on my part I have no young babies and toddlers to watch over as my grandson is 25 years old'

Talking of which my GS approached me the other day while I was chilling in the back garden and said thank you granddad I said what for his reply was thank you for bringing me up I may tell you that brought a tear to my eye but as I told him it was my privilege and not a chore but a pleasure I'm so proud of him it's almost beyond words.

Grand children are the greatest blessing God ever gives us.
