What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good lunch and afternoon bike ride in perfect weather so friends went home happy. Although dull now the sky on the way home was interesting and so I did an imaginative painting of the sky from memory, no idea what I shall put in the foreground, but here is the sky so far. A4 watercolour so far 20 minutes.

good afternoon all :)

4.1 this morning

took soup to share for lunch over to mum's when we went to pick up her shopping list. Gave the bathroom and shower room a final clean and cleaned the hob before the visitors arrive ;)
We shall probably drop the shopping off at mum's on the way home rather than taking it over in the afternoon tomorrow so they can have the afternoon to catch up on gossip in peace :D :hilarious:

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@karen8967 - Happy Birthday :joyful:

@Alien Aspie - ouch! hope things heal up quickly :sorry: and steroids seem to be a bit of a double edged sword?

@dunelm - like the foliage/flowers, very delicate :)

@gennepher - nice procreate sketch, full of light especially the shimmering golden path area :)

@Muddy Cyclist - looks like an impressive sky, a good way to start :)

art bit -

prepare to be bored, I'm thinking I'll try working on painting water/waves for a bit

this one was inspired by an image online, (Pinterest as usual ;))
trying out the new resist fluid I've bought, the original bottle must be 30 years old :hilarious:
it's still gluey but not quite as difficult to get off ;)

Thanksgeefull x

I see Robert Harris has moved on from those excellent Cicero books and is now doing another one from a more recent period ; the second world war and the V2 rockets.
It will be well worth a read.

Thanks @geefull

I love waves. These are very effective. And I like your streak of pale green light across the sea...

Air raid shelters, bus shelters and bike sheds?:angelic: Hug for bg control issues and hammered hand @Alien Aspie; have a great time in Whitby @dunelm and a magical Historical cycle ride @Muddy Cyclist; @lindisfel hope it is a dry grass day to celebrate the Lesser feast for The Birth of The blessed Virgin Mary. No idea what LC food is appropriate for such a day but as my signature implies, keep calm and eat avocado and salad for me. Toodle pip chums.

Hi Ian,
I am afraid the grass stayed wet all day but tomorrow is a new day.
I am very non conformist in view, Ian, so apart from the main holy days, I am ignorant of such things as St. days.

One of the radiation physicists in medical physics where I worked, in my retirement job, was a really helpful Catholic Christian and she prayed for me, lighting candles etc, when I went through radical radiotherapy four years after I retired.

I found all the prayers of fellow Christians carried me through a difficult period.

I hope your remission continues and you are sustained through it all as I have been.

My daily painting challenge was to use the Procreate quick sketch I did a couple of days ago. And to create a gentle misty ethereal scene.

Did that happen? No. Because between the layers I put an all black layer, and used the rubber tool on the painting above. I am having fun...

So, instead here is a more dramatic painting...
