I can't see that's she's logged in today. Hopefully, she is ok.
I managed my walk, two-mile round trip. It took twice as long as my previous because I had 3 stops to drop my pulse rate as my watch was sounding the alarm. However, I did it and I shall do it again![]()
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy there you are.
Glad to see “emerged” - difficult times in Wales.Hi @dunelm Thank you.
Yes, I managed to bring up subtitles in You Tube.
Strange "What colour is the road", because that is exactly the same question I used to ask my eldest daughter when she was just 2 years old. I have no idea why I asked that question of her, except I couldn't hear her unexpectedly talking or chattering away with me being profoundly deaf. But I would lead her into conversations and discussions, so I would then have a clue as to what she was talking about.
Her idea of the colour of the road was different to mine...
I like your painting Old Man of Storr. Icy cold!
I love this style of painting where the essence of the subject is depicted - the blue/black works so wellFbg earlier today 6.2
Painting for today in iPastels
This is more the direction I want to go with the pastel painting in iPastels.
Something that is not so clearly defined.

Brilliant story about your mumGlad to see “emerged” - difficult times in Wales.
Yes - a very good question - what colour is the road. I do like David Hockney - a little asside:
Picked my mother up at Leeds Bradford airport a few years ago and she says:
There is a David Hockney exhibition on quite near (Saltaire) -can we go.
Off we go - exhibits on IPads as well as large prints
On the way home - “I wonder if we could stop somewhere and look at these IPads?”
Stop at PC world where mum buys an IPad - she still uses it to paint
PS @alf_Josiah what key you in? I'll join you on my Mandolin.![]()
good evening all

sorry for the lack of posting, my anxiety is giving me a bit of a rattle at the moment. Must do better
We spent two days last week working round medical appointments for mr gee, the first was for him to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours, this involved a 75 mile round trip to the hospital (and more car park time for me) but fortunately they allowed us to drop the unit off at the local health centre for return
then he had his first appointment with the diabetic nurse. It seems to have gone well and his feet etc. are fine and of course he received an information pack pushing low fat and 'eatwell' and the 'other' diabetes website
then mum insisted on going to get her hair done and pick up her own pension on the bus, she is stubbornly independent which is a double edged sword. she ended up having to wait ages for the bus back and then fell at the bus stop. She says she was just really tired and cold and there is no seat at the bus stop anymoreDid she phone us? No! although she had our mobile phone numbers with her.
anyway she is feeling fine again now after a good rest but she has decided she won't go in on the bus again, we will take her when she wants to go. We would have taken her anyway, but she wants to be as independent as possible.
I'll try to catch up on the thread bit by bit, hope everyone is doing ok.
art bit - still trying to do something every day and mostly succeeding.

The call of dead cured pig and chicken embryo, washed down with koffy is strong.
We get this type of rain in Normandy as well. Sunny afternoon, came in for a coffee, ten mins later my wellies have puddles in themWelsh Rain, you know the type that goes up as well as down, gets up your shorts and down the neck of your waterproofs.![]()

After tomorrow am thinking maybe he should sleep there? Only difficulty so far, is he has discovered carpet and soft furnishings - excellent places for sharpening claws. MrSlim is not impressed .. Still trying to find a way round that one

I suspect we all have a different idea of colour. MrSlim had a shirt he called pink, while I said it was orange. Actually neither of those colours was correct. The shirt was probably more accurately described as a fine pale terracotta and white houndstooth check - but thats a bit of a mouthful.![]()
