*** INCOMING BIN DAY BULLETIN ***
FIGHT! Some council service to clear stuff from the rat run of alleys was blocking my drive but I figured he'd be gone by the time I left to go into town. What I did NOT figure ... was the recycling bin also coming down our narrow little cul de sac.
Many words spoken - well actually shouted ... some most definitely earthy anglo Saxon, some not even English (and I know me a good selection of French and German cursing)...

Anyhoo obviously peace on earth and good will to all men doesn't quite extend to the council's refuse services!

*** BULLETIN ENDS ***
No embargo, free for release immediately

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate international bin day, wow what a few days it's been Christmas festivities and now bin day, time to crack open the sparkling water.

6.7 this morning on the meter of mystery.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers.
I like the paintings and believe it or not you have inspired Mrs J to start being arty #arty. Well done.
I must end now Mrs J is champing at the bit over something or other, it would help if I listened.
Have a great day.

Forgot to post fbs ,- 5.3 this morning. Dog walk was icy this morning. My new coat is so toasty and warm - the warmest coat I have ever owned. The hood is lined with faux fur - perfect for today.
Edited to change faux fir to faux fur. Predictive text can be so annoying.

Nice road, our Cannock Chase is deep in snow at the moment, looks very pretty however we have no wild beasts to motivate us when cycling.
No wild boar to run rampant and chase slow walkers? Eh Muddy?

Grisly bears are not funny, it gives me cold sweats when I remember what I did when I visited Yosemite on my own in the mid 90's when on a Linac course on the Bayside.
I had a trip to the mountains on the long weekend off.
One evening at the Mariposa Grove, when all the visitors had gone, I walked up through the grove to the top of the hill quite some distance on, completely alone with not even a scarer.
How stupid, it gives me cold sweats.
I must have been blind missing the signs bear habitat.

Not yet! Rutting season is the only time I have to show any real fear of meeting Wildlife, those ancient rutting sites I have well mapped and steer well clear of. :)

Bears, a whole different game as a few Canadian Mountain Bikers have discovered.

4.9 again this morning. Glad they have come down from the 6s I was getting a couple of days ago. Its very difficult with my autism not to obsess over numbers, I've found that with everything that I've done that has any kind of tracking of numbers (myfitnesspal, slimmingworld, weight watchers etc) I get my mind fixated on the numbers and when they don't go my way it can make or break that day/week. Knowing that going into this, I've tried really hard for that not to be the case with this and going low carb.

In other good news my repeat HBA1c came back yesterday and was 49mmol which is vastly improved from July, triglycerides still elevated but halved from them, protein in urine according to gp and they want me to repeat my urine test. Passed the results to the diabetes clinic and waiting to hear back from them.

Great Blood Sugars and HBA1C.
I have exactly the same problem with anything I can track. I get totally fixated on the numbers. When my old fitbit wouldn't connect to the fitbit app. anymore and I couldn't track my numbers it was such a relief as I couldn't obsess about the numbers anymore. Unfortunately I now have a new fitbit and I am back to obsessing over the numbers and the other stuff it tracks.
I am the same with logging food on Fatsecret and logging blood sugars.

This does have an upside though because I keep my activity levels high and I obsessively log my blood sugars and food intake and it has enabled me to come off and stay off insulin.

Interesting choice of word fixated especially when your journey has been so remarkable. Might meticulous be a better word? O/T, my super duper Adidas fitbit stopped working, they sent me a replacement which didn't work but a new lead charged the old one. Both now not working and fitbit support seem to be on holiday. I'm a tad lost without all my data. Not at all sure any of it is helpful. I suspect it is just like Linus's blanket as is fbg/Swipey in my case. Not at all convinced either are helpful. At least I have stopped weighing everything and entering into cronometer trying to hit all the ratios, nutes and vits targets. Your being meticulous has worked - mine doesn't IMHO.

Yes, you are right, meticulous is a much better word.

What a shame your fitbit(s) are not working at the moment. Hopefully fitbit support can sort it.

The last of my Cold Willow Watercolours until Spring, they should look great when coming into bud.

A4 watercolour about 45 minutes. Trees are not as dark as seen in posting, there is quite a lot of colour variation in them. The sky did turn out the colour seen though a bit strange but there you go.

Bears, a whole different game as a few Canadian Mountain Bikers have discovered.

It puts me in mind of a group of birders in Canada, near the north coast. It was a guided trip and the guy giving the talk was on it.
This polar bear came running towards them across the tundra the guy told them he knew they were in trouble when guide said, " Aw ****" :)
They stood abreast, waved and shouted and fortunately the bear turn round and sloped off.
I would have loved to seen a monitor on their heart rates. :)

I have obviously been around the illustrious @ianpspurs but no swipey updates for the next couple of days as me and my apparently soon to be sofa-sized butt will be joined together in unholy I-don't-know-what for a massive two day DVD and Blu-ray fest. Then Sainsbo's on Sunday and back at swipeyness and fitness from Monday so let me take this chance to wish you all a Happy New Year.

Toodles & see you in 2021!
