Good Morning and 6.4 for me today. A day of Low Card yesterday at BBQ with son, Salmon, Steak (there goes my Carbon Footprint) and salad.

A day of welding with son and games with Grandaughters. Welded stand for small climbing rose that we are putting in pot for a friends 70th thus the ES initials on the top. Cold day so we also welded up a fire pit which kept us warm until late evening ( even higher carbon footprint) and wasn't yesterday the first day of burning wet wood and coal day? :banghead:

A day of rest for us today.

Keep safe be bold.
Love the horse shoes and fire @Muddy Cyclist

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of baked beefsteak tomatoes stuffed with mozzarella, an egg and topped off with grated parmesan came in at 4.1 this am - must have been that side of bacon.

Should have been our annual family walking weekend over the bank holiday but, like last year, not to be. Mrs Miggins took some intrepid relatives on a coastal walk 16 miles for sum. Ankles playing up so didn’t attend but foolishly decided to meet them during the last leg and ended up walking over 8 miles.

Art today - the final (maybe) repeat of the foraging pair of birds - Brush paints on a Winsor & Newton marker paper, just to be different.

Great birds @dunelm
The marker paper makes a change, very vibrant.

Had a lovely walk around The Great Wood at Blickling Hall in the sunshine. Bluebells only just starting to flower so we will go back in 2 weeks to see the dense blue carpet of bluebells in full flower.

Then we enjoyed a coffee (and Mr K a sausage roll) at the Muddy Boots Cafe. The dogs also enjoyed the walk and a piece of the sausage roll.
That will be a blicklingly good experience, Krystyna! :)

I might have caught up with myself today...

Long day...but never enough hours in the day.

Painting for today in Procreate...

Watched the pre dawn sky and moon again this morning...

Popeye's girlfriend visited along with her entourage, all 3 of them seated on the bench while Popeye took me for a walk around the garden.

This is the first year, since forever, that the cherry blossom has actually stayed on my cherry trees front and back and not been prematurely blown off by the strong winds.

good evening all :)

4.4 today

Sunday again ;) and yet another sunday lunch, in honour of the bank holiday weekend it was roast beef with most of the trimmings (well for mum and mr gee :D ), just a tiny amount of roasted parsnip and lots of veg to go with the beef for me, moistened with meat 'jus' :)

Pudding was a sort of crustless cheesecake :hilarious: the mousse was made with cream cheese, yoghurt and double cream whisked together, flavoured with toffee and vanilla and set with a little gelatine, topping was rhubarb and some blueberries stewed together, all sweetened with a mix of erythritol and truvia ;)

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@dunelm - interesting change of materials, bold and colourful :) your foragers look a bit severe ;) I like them but I think I prefer the delicacy of the brush and ink :)

@lindisfel - interesting :) is this the point to confess I get a bit confused between what's cosmology and what cohomology? :bag:

@ianpspurs - here is hoping no gout ;) I mostly tend towards the adequate protein rather than the fat myself.

@Muddy Cyclist - practical and decorative art today, that fire pit looks decidedly useful :)
I'm liking the finished painting very much, the cool of the undergrowth vs the warmth you have infused higher up, and the light spring foliage, just lovely :joyful:

@gennepher - lovely vibrant painting today with subtle hints of the landscape and that watery reflection :joyful:
Procreate seems to be a very versatile app. I wish they had a version for android :sorry:

art bit -

a quickish picture, trying out a new pan of paint, Prussian Blue instead of Ultramarine, it's a bit of a cooler blue I think :)

That pudding sounds rather scrumptious. :)

Thank you for you appreciation of things created by me.

I'm with you on the Prussian Blue. Worked well on yourquick landscape and I will never tire of your lovely hills, so much detailed and yet so understated, just magical. :)

Sunday's lunch is gorgeous @geefull

Thank you for the painting compliments.
There is an app for Android called Infinite Painter, which has many similarities to Procreate. But I am doing any work with Infinite Painter on a very small phone screen, the Pixel 4a. In consequence I rarely use it. But I will have a go in the next few days to see what I can create with Infinite Painter on my tiny Android phone screen, as opposed to Procreate on my much larger iPad.

I like the colour Prussian blue, and I have often used that in winter snow scenes.

A very effective cooler landscape by you. I like it very much.
