What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Today was one of those days when lots of things don't go quite the way you want them to.
I have a problem with synching my google calendar with my outlook. I have a super company that looks after my computer but they couldn't fix it. Apparently the fix could possible cause other problems that were worse. So I opted to only use the Google calendar in future.

Then my local chemist assured me they had the nose testing LFTs. I walked there to pick them up only to find they were the nose and throat ones.

Then DPD pinged me a photo of my parcel they had just delivered. But it was not my house. Luckily I sort of recognised the house as it has a special enclosure for the bins in the front of the house. I knew it was in one of three roads we dog walk down but couldn't remember which one. I walked along all three roads. It was at the end the third road I walked down. The resident had no idea it had been put behind their bins in their little bin enclosure.

On the plus side I did get my parcel, our lounge is finished and looks lovely. We had a lovely walk with the dogs and my sister and her dogs. It was really wild weather.

Also I have nearly done 14K steps. Which I am really pleased with. Now I shall relax in our newly decorated lounge.
A day of two halves and unexpected outcomes with a splendid walk and feet up in a smashing lounge. I have similar, annoying issues with calendars on my iPad and android phone but have chosen to ignore them.

Good morning everyone from a quiet and calm start here in the dark and dangerous north.
We seem, at present at least, to be sitting at the bottom end the ravages of norther storms and the top end of all things windy from the south. Yesterday’s wind was rumoured to be gusting at a mere 60mph. Entry tickets to the weather enclave now on sale.
Another girl in the bubble day and probably a walk into town. She if fast becoming a firm member of local popular cafe culture with buttered sourdough toast a firm favourite and maybe a couple of slices of a decent sausage. She is quite discerning in the field of sausages and I can be fairly sure of their ‘ruskiness’ depending upon how high her nose turns up. A caramelised biscuit brought with grandparent’s koffy is always a hit. But only the one. The other must be taken home for later use.
Art bit. The sky produced all manner of colours a couple of days ago so here, from memory, are a few. Hope you all have a pleasant day today. Don’t kneel in the garden without first having a plan on how to get back up. I must escort general waste bin to the pavement and then make a pot of koffy.

I am not even taking out my recycle today, far too windy here. One person put a brick on top of both the recycle bags expecting them to stay there, but the wind but hey let's have some fun with this brick...

Great art today @dunelm
I love this row of trees and the colourful sky....
More please...
:)

Edited.

Not your intention, I'm sure.
A super painting, so full of light & colour.

But the Doors came to mind.
Two tracks ..both same.realise while neither might be listened to, the 2nd may not be to everyone's taste visually

Jim Morrison.

Apologies if rude, so unsure how to describe tune
A kaleidoscope of background sounds, with a slow sombre singing of lyrics, ..sounds awful, but matches the movie scene extremely well.imho

Fbg oops I forgot to take it this morning, too late now for me....

Strange sleeping hours last night.
My internet playing up all day, as in not syncing between devices, then not being able to load up internet pages, chat apps trying to connect but not able to do so, and I thought email was very quiet. Suddenly in the evening a flood of emails came through, including 'Your parcel was delivered at 10.46 am this morning' ...
What parcel?
I am not expecting a parcel...
It is now nearly 12 hours later...
Do I still have a parcel with these high winds...
So, I shoot outside...
With my miner's lamp strapped to my head...
Fortunately it had been placed in a safe place...
It's heavy.
It is addressed to me...
I open it...
Oh that was a confusing surprise.
But welcome nonetheless...
But on second thought...

Then the iPad screen lights up. It's a friend who has been trying to get hold of me all day on a chat app. But all it said was 'connecting', and never connected up all day. So we discussed my parcel and other matters.

2am, and I try for sleep.
I give up on sleep. No point struggling.

I should have gone out today, but no chance in this wind. And when I went out on Monday to the local shops (they are all old buildings with slate roofs), many of them had slates that were sliding down the roofs (I thought that was rooves, but spellcheck replaces it with roofs...doesn't feel right), so I will need a hard hat next time I venture down there.

Okay. Creative for today.
Due to that unexpected parcel arriving, I now have 200 tête-à-tête daffodils. They are in the green, that is they all have roots, leaves, and buds emerging. I didn't know you could get them like this. I thought it was just 'dry' bulbs in a packet. So they have to go in the ground now. Poor things, they were growing nicely in their home soil, then dug up, spent 2 days in a plastic bag in a box in the back of a van, thrown here there and everywhere, and sent to me as a surprise. I'll have to give them some TLC when I plant them. I think I'll need a back brace on today...but a crane lift to get me up and down might be more appropriate...

So today's creative is yellow, and now you know why. Popeye crept in the painting, and asked for a bright Snow moon, so I obliged.

Be good. You never know what is around the corner, or that you suddenly have 200 growing daffodil bulbs to carefully plant...no throwing these on the soil...(which is my usual method for planting bulbs and throwing a spade full of soil on them, my way is job done in 5 minutes.)

This is looking like a marathon...

My sleep last night while restless was better then of late ..a spate of one to two hours asleep.
And last night a disciplined take on trying to get back to sleep .with a little dream building story tale in my head, that was never ever going to wo......z. ZZ zzzz ..zzzzzzz.

So refreshed more so then usual.
Zoom physio 945..little unclear if for leg, shoulder or hand / arm.
If it's all three, I may have to video, put it to music and whack it on tik-tok. ;):D

Have a good day, all.

Meds taken.
A sneaky kip maybe before physio, then my calendars clear for the day.

I get the link and thank your for your complement.. The Doors was one of my favourite bands in the 60’s for all their short time. T-Rex also. Was it me?

Hugs for lack of sleep. All the best for the back brace and planting today. 200 is a lot - will they all go in today? Smashing piece of art, loads of interest and movement.

A winner for improving sleep. All the best for the Zoom physio - does physio now work by osmosis?

Greetings one and all from a calm between the storms outpost of Uncle Sam's brightest and best plus at least one miserable old English so and so. @Krystyna23040 yesterday seems to have been quite the game of two halves but the big picture was most agreeable. @gennepher best wishes for surviving the storm and #daffplantinggate. Unlikely to be in full glory in time to wish you Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus. Thank you for the daff inspired creative. @dunelm thank you for both the art and multum in parvo insight into life with TGIB. We have two granddaughters today then school collection will add a grandson before two sons collect their progeny. Too many people for COVID safety but too few for a proper family gathering. @jjraak good news on more sleep and I hope the zoom physio goes well. Slow and steady wins the race. Good National bin day Morening ladies and gentlemen.
A 5.7 this morning.
Not sure about todays plans, but high on the list will be inspect the fences here at Tilehurst Towers. Also on the list try and get my phone talking to my pc, they seem to be having a lovers tiff. Most annoying.
@jjraak good luck at the physio’s, @dunelm todays art work, really like it, a painting of 2 halves, top half made me think Turner with the clouds and bottom half Constable ish with trees.
Well fellow posters and painters enjoy your day, it is time for koffy and order more lft testing kits.
Stay safe all.

Yes, I am definitely ignoring my Outlook Calendar now, especially as I have just found out that I can print the Google calendar in black and white. When I tried to print it before it was white writing on a green background which didn't print well for our records.

Thanks @jjraak

Sorry to disappoint.

Hand physio only ;)
Some exercises.
Some "how is the pain "
A little advice re scarring & massage.

And then measurements of hand functionality
"Just going to measure , please place in screen view, and move this way, etc "

Tis magic ..:wideyed:

Movement improved, we both agree
More advanced exercise & a better explanation of HOW to massage scar tissue.

So all in all .a good meeting
AND no traipsing across town , to do the same thing, but in person

Win...:)
But not tik-tok worthy :arghh:

Not stating as fact, from what I have read on web etc, the nose only seem inaccurate.

Returning many negatives, that when people took nose AND throat sample OR got PCR became positives (as per symptoms make the suspect neg was wrong.. so retook or booked PCR).

Now the conspiracy side of my brain :bag:

Says when we pay next month ? For LFT or PCR, cost will point many to the cheaper LFT ...if they can even get them .

Ergo..no one but those rushed to hospital will ever test as positive..

Am I right...who knows. :watching:
Due diligence dear reader, due diligence .

I'd certainly suggest a Google of nose v nose and throat swabbing
And if you can get them, rush to chemists before they are gone :)
Thank you @jjraak - a very interesting article.
