What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen. All mornings are good, some better than others, but all enhanced with the addition of tea and koffy.
.
On that meter of doom I achieved a 5.4 enabling the meter to survive a meeting with my hammer.
.
Now moving on not so swiftly on those steps painted by @dunelm, at first glance I thought ah a photograph, but no, exceptionally good effort Mr Dunelm and @gennepher you made me laugh over the surnames and as to your question “What else to drink” the brewing industry abounds with solutions.
Keyboard practice this morning, disaster darling absolute disaster. The “C” note has suddenly become very harsh, this would be fine if I played thrash metal music, but I don’t. So my mornings task will be to take the covers off, inspect and clean grrrr.
.
Now if you will forgive me I must sign out and make Mrs J’s early for her tea.
Stay safe all remembering to look left, right and left and right again as you cross the roads and cycle lanes.
I thought @dunelm 's painting was a photograph too on first glance! I did have to look twice.

Thanks for your comments on my post

Good luck with the keyboard cleaning, and getting your C note back...

Hello all on another Ruby Tuesday. No rain, no socks and more child care practice. A distinct pattern is emerging but all will change ere long so for now thanks be to God. Magnificent set of steps @dunelm - stairway to heaven? Fancy having grass to cut. How the other half live. Thanks for the creative @gennepher and do try to make sure you have a cuppa each morning before opening the diner. @alf_Josiah I hope the running repairs to that C note are a triumph darling, a triumph - or yamaha, suzuki etc. Don't sit too long and get a BSA. @Krystyna23040 I used to thoroughly enjoy the chats with farmers and fellow dog walkers. Never been the same here. I guess because even though I didn't necessarily initially know all the people who chatted to me (route straddled two villages, my family are/were part of both. Rural villages are usually incredibly tribal) so many turned out to know who I was , due to living in my late parents' house. Some knew a considerable amount of my family history. Once or twice they could tell tales from 3 generations back and provide photos. Enjoy those balloons - do you have any Led Zeppelins?- with TGIB @dunelm. I must away and blitz flaxseeds in the nutribullet just to keep everything regular.

I woke up this morning in the dark (where did the lovely early light mornings go?), only to see Jade's piercing eyes bore through me from the corner of the garage roof. And another pair of piercing eyes from the swing. I had no doubt Ammy's piecing eyes were boring through the kitchen door...
It's dark, I said.
We're hungry, those eyes said back.
Can't I even have a cuppa tea first, I asked....

Yesterday I was waiting for a couple of parcels, from different places via the post office. Finally they they came. The guy scans them, then looks at me.
"Are you __(christian name)__?", he asks.
"Yes", I reply.
"Then, why are they different surnames?", still hanging on to MY parcels and not parting with them.
I replied, "You men can only have one surname your entire life. But us women can have many different surnames during our life."
He roared with laughter, "That's true", he replied giving me my parcels, and laughing all the way back to his little red post office van...

Creative is a kaleidoscope through my glass bedroom door of the wee bit of colour dawn gave before she disappeared behind a grey cloud cover...
Not very exciting is it ?
But it is my effort for today...

Coffee drunk...
Tea drunk...
What else can I drink?

Smashing kaleidoscope and loads of interest in it. Oh, I have a cupboard full of refreshing beverages some with funny, unpronounceable names from the land of the Celts.

Love the finished steps @dunelm
I am glad you are doing more...

I am scared of balloons still. As a child I was taught to speak by blowing raspberries on them...and sometimes they burst in my face. So, please will you have lots of playful fun with those balloons today with the girl in the bubble.

Have a good day.
Thank you @gennepher - such a pity that some cruel childhood memories can linger.

Thank you @alf_Josiah and all the best with your exploratory examination of the inner workings on your keyboard.

Thanks @ianpspurs - stairway to happiness. Physio survived, 5 miles walked, splendid koffy, grass cut, balloon games played, “what’s a led zeppelin grandad?” - We look at the bits of glass hanging in the window that I made a few years ago - one day like this a year will see me right. Enjoy those child care practice sessions.

Sounds an interesting cupboard....

That must have been so interesting. You were really lucky.
What I find quite amusing here is that we often remember the dogs names but not their owners names.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who enjoy a slow quiet start to the day.
.
This mornings meter reading was a 5.2 and a negative covid test result.
.
As reported yesterday the covers came off my keyboard and a good inspection plus clean, I’m pleased to say that the errant C key is now behaving itself.
.
Our NHS service gets a fair bit of bad press, but yesterday I received 1long phone call and 3 emails all wanting a consultation with me, me’s and myself, ah the joys of being of interest to them, September is going to be busy medically. At least 5 tests etc.
.
Well fellow posters and painters and I hope you all are well, the morning moves on and things have to be done, so I shall do them.
Stay safe and remember the days of continuous rain fondly.

good morning everyone from the deliciousness of drizzle here in the dark and dangerous north. That Robin is wandering about in the garden - definately a boy as he is strutting about, showing off. Mrs Miggins is off to her sisters house today to help with decorating. I have been given the task of emptying the sideboard with instructions about how not to break stuff. A temporary emptying as the sideboard is being moved to make room for another sideboard - I don’t get involved in the mysterious workings of furniture - just glad of a comfy bed and the fact that all furniture seems to cooperate with static equilibrium and so far at all temperatures. Girl in the bubble is staying over tonight so Mrs Miggins will have to get up early tomorrow in order to take here to nursery. Art bit - the start of more steps. Have a wonderful day of you can and I hope your garden is getting some moisture. Koffy is now on the go.

So pleased that you are getting your three penneth from those research scientists in the secret NHS laboratories. I hope that everything goes well for you and that you are given a clean bill of health.

Wednesday

I love this time of year in my garden. Up to now, it has been pretty much the birds who live in my garden, nest there, and bring up their babies.

But yesterday the garden was absolutely full of hundreds of sparrows. Then whole flocks of pied wagtails, bluetits, greattits and more of that family all descended into my garden. And were having a fine old time, swirling and dancing in the air, and eating insects from the trees and my vegetable garden.

The dunnocks and sparrows were also eating the comfrey leaves and my kale, pecking pieces out of the leaves. They have been doing this for awhile, and now both comfrey and kale leaves are pecked full of holes.

I was out there watching them and feeling them fly all around me. The air was full of all these small birds, so full of joy and life. It was beautiful.

Creative is my garage door in Laboscope, and the greenery is my pecked into holes kale, and some peas and beans...

I had a sleepless night last night, fell asleep at dawn, so by the time I woke up after 4 hours of sleep, the poor cats and Midnight were waiting in a queue outside the door for breakfast this morning....

Midnight gave me some extra loving.

I am very late this morning

Bye. Catch you later..

Have your best day.

Why thank you fellow greaser and I to hope your physio treatment is successful.
Greaser is a term at one time used to describe motorcyclist.

Lovely picture painted of the flocks of birds in your garden and a fresh looking kaleidoscopic view of greenery.

5.3 this morning. Off to Tesco to get.organic milk for my kefir and Yeo Valley Greek yogurt as Aldi doesn't sell it. Hopefully they sell doggy ice cream also. Will catch up with posts later.

Hello everyone from another, externally, bone dry start here but rain is forecast for tomorrow, albeit light showers. Warmth replaced by humidity. Heavy tea consumption is forecast internally. Thanks for the new steps @dunelm and the kaleidoscope @gennepher. Glad you have a wider range of birds now. @Krystyna23040 great fbg and I do hope Tesco have doggy ice cream. @alf_Josiah I hope September provides tip top outcomes. There are various routes to meet our maker, some of which are best not pondered upon. I found out recently that my 85 year old aunt is in a care home with dementia but needs to be kept "secure" as physically she is incredibly robust. 9 year old shot dead in her own home. Chemo 1 for me today, not a process I ever wanted but thank God I live in an age where it is available and a country where it is free at the point of delivery - for now. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get as a great philosopher's Momma once said. Do ensure your stays are secure but not over restrictive.
