What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thank you @ianpspurs - blood pressure up a bit - that’s not happened before but I have a phone appointment with my GP on Wednesday to discuss the diabetes review. Absolutely fuming that I am no longer going to get a tax cut :woot::***::rolleyes:. Good news being able to get back on the exercise bike.
Shame about

Shame about the tax cut. I guess in this brave new world apples no longer fall in orchards. I believe the bankers - hope predictive text doesn't mess that up - still keep their bonuses for the time being. Will that help those who are bank of mum and dad? Omnishambles or clusterthingmebob? Vote now :D

It did in my head ...plus a lot of other naughty words that suits an enemy of the people's party .
Naughty, naughty :D Good news about testing again and #vacuumgate obviously explains the fbg. I don't like the David Getta chume ...... I LOVE it. Unsurprisingly it is on my workout playlist but I do need to be aware I'm probably not going to be able to full on sprint .... yet??

Worst one of all is that King Cnut tribute act Nigel Farage. Very tricky checking that. The man is a 4* crown and anchor. Lingers about with all the charm and smell of rotting fish. Call me Dave should just have said go away you silly little man. And breathe, Ian. :D

Good morning all on what may or may not be just another manic Monday depending on how many Kwasi screeching u-turns you make. Lovely autumn day yesterday and relatively mild through to Saturday here, allegedly. With no heating - still - and doors open for the dogs to roam outside it was 22c in our lounge last evening according to Hive. @dunelm I hope the BP check is tickety boo, enjoy the aroma from the new coffee. The addition of sepia adds even more class to that artwork. Many thanks for sharing. No virtual marathon here yesterday but half an hour on my exercise bike for the fist time in many months felt so good, so good, so good. @Krystyna23040 good news on Archie and to avoid confusion JKP didn't test positive for COVID, just MIL. @Annb how kind to make those brownies and shop bought biscuits are kind enough. Have a great day but go your own way. within the law and spirit thereof. ever mindful that others have the same right. Enough earworms for y'all?
I am so pleased I misread your post and JKP didn't test positive

Dentist was fine - thought the downward pressure on my lower jaw was going to dislocate it, but it didn't. The freezing is wearing off now so all's well, That's the treatment finished at last - it's been going on for over a year. I think they should pay me for letting them practice on me not the other way round. £48 for one filling is a bit much I think. I know they have overheads but the building belongs to the health board so they pay for their staff and their materials. That would be a total of over £100 an hour they have coming in for one dentist!

Still, at least I can get dental work done, unlike some other folk in Scotland and, I'm told, in England.

For those who don't venture too far off thread.

A small update

Good morning everyone on a partly clouded start here in the dark and dangerous north. Blood pressure test yesterday was a bit high but will be discussed in the round with the diabetic team tomorrow. Today, however is a day off from all things NHS. Girl in the bubble stayed over last night - she is jetting off to warmer climes this afternoon with her parents for a week. We have been seeing Northern Lights for the last few day and someone took a nafty photo from the pier last night so will try and post it below. Art bit - another starter for 10. Hope you all have a pleasant day, koffy is brewing nicely.

It is also difficult to get dentistry in France. National shortage of dentists apparently and still catching up from covid. My ukranian guest had a very painful infection and her urgent appointment, with dentist aware she was in pain, two months wait. Am needing a broken tooth dealt with myself. Difficult as I have a real problem with trusting a new dentist. This is after getting into the hands of a real butcher whose 'treatment" was unnecessary and caused considerable damage. Next dentists opinion after seeking recommendations for a good dentist from colleagues. Lifetime of problems from that butchers work in two appointments.

No exercises since Friday, little housework and even less gardening. Step count reduced by about 75%. Difficult to get anything done when pinned to the chair by a sleeping kitten. Still it makes keeping up with the forum and my french lessons easier.

Good happy Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who miss black and white television shows, since the advent of colour things have been so much more vivid.

Bloods this morning were another 7.5 not a surprise, the joys of left over Sunday roast, converted into bubble and squeak, probably more squeaky later in the day!
.
@dunelm looks like the horizon is on fire. Me, me’s and myself have never seen the northern lights, but I did go to Blackpool and saw the illuminations with the excitement of a tram being blown over in the sea breeze.
Well here in Tilehurst Towers this morning will be a routine blood test then try to sort out a flu jab. Our covid jab is now booked. Then the day will belong to Mrs J I might as well be realistic.

Stay safe all, remember not to bark at the postman, it’s my turn.

Those Northern lights are amazing!
