What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Afternoon all.

My strips arrived...yehaww.
So my first fbg for a few days was an an appealing 6.1

Not quite McGarrett plains, but certainly on the cliffs above looking down enviously through the trees.

And I 'might' be imagining it, but I distinctly hear some cats purring from one of the bungalows below....mmmhh .

Sunny here in the Capital.
Enjoy your day, all.

And just for info
Popped on the scales today and lost 3lbs since last time.

Other parameters slightly skew wiff, but muscle mass is back to spot on.

Cycling & gym, me thinks most likely culprits.

Not a great appetite but I am eating sufficient.
One snack most days & a decent evening meal, seems to be doing me good....so might be the food as well.

On a very different but equally positive note.

I may have mentioned my lovely neighbour passed away.(RiP Michael)

And some confusion over his cat, meant his brother took the wrong cat in error (was a stray so needed a home, too )

We've been feeding and looking out for him since.

He won't come in and stay, due to the dog stopping over so much, we think ...and the dog doesn't like him ...(at this moment, but who knows.. )

Posted on neighbours group, little response.

Over time one or two have come to ours to check on him

Now Lauren tells me a few have got together and lady next door (cats of her own) has had put up a little wooden house/shelter for him.

And it also seems (most cat like indeed) he's been mooching & mugging for dinner from more then just us..lol.

So he's being well fed, others are also looking out for him, and the consensus is we all chip in to get him checked over by vets and also for any treatments required.

I'm calling that a WIN.

We're both so pleased at the result.

Fbg 6.5

I forgot to post this TrailCam video a couple of weeks ago.
A busy night on the nighttime wildlife camera...
Cats & Foxes - A long night.
It was a very busy night...

Creative is a painting in ZenBrush3
I did the background last night, and finished off the trees this morning...

Time for a cuppa.

Have your best day.

I am glad he is getting a goood life @jjraak

Good afternoon everyone. A bit late but I am trying to work out some big sums and dig out my O level maths certificate to prove to Richy Stuntmac that I am worthy of my bus pass. It’s also been a day of cleaning rugs. I am allowed to clean rugs with the carpet cleaner but not carpets as I am still classed as a learner. Advanced carpet cleaning courses are available via the AA and the RAC, I wonder if they will go on strike for more pay and better conditions - perhaps a Bentley instead of a van. The latest news reminded me that I once pushed my brother and he fell over and cried. We were too poor for him to have a necklace. He told our mum who smacked his leg for being a whiner. Art bit - coming along. Have a great afternoon, @Annb, hope the power is now steadily in the ‘on’ position.

Splendid art once again so many thanks. I can feel the texture of the stonework. Wonder how any of us would react if as small boys we had been paraded through the streets of London in full glare of the media, while grieving our mother, merely to salve the guilt of The Firm. Then told to shut up and man up, don't make a fuss In less rarefied circles one suspects Social Services could have been involved. Later, having your wife and children subjected to sly but unsubtle racial abuse and totally gas lighted by a subservient press. One mustn't puncture the mystique of our Royal Family. Asking for a curious mate. Obviously two sides to some stories but sometimes both don't match anything we all know intuitively but just refuse to admit. When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth. Too much woke juice for lunch. sorry.

Thank you @ianpspurs and pleased you can feel the texture. In the land of baubles and wardrobes full of fancy clothing one must feel sorry for them. Raging against the machine so publicly makes me feel that their therapists are not hitting the mark.

I don't make a habit of listening to womens hour but last week I was waiting in the car and heard an item how black women were subject to racial abuse if they had whiter children due to having a white partner.
I thought it was going to be due to white mixed race prejudice but it turned out it was black men almost exclusively directing their dislike at black women for having white children.

This story of the Royal family is if one is fully loyal, and obey the rules, those in the family get huge benefits. I think it's ironic that one who hated the media so much has now gone to the media to get publicity and money. His story is particularly unwise boasting over his bag of Taliban.

On the Trail Cameras...
A very busy night - cats & foxes.
Jade - cat on swing
Midnight - cat who checks on Jade
Ghost Cat - ginger cat
And two new foxes, a large fox (male?), and a smaller more timid fox (female?). The larger male fox keeps stealing the food containers...

I was trying to create the dawn sky I saw yesterday morning.
Failed to create anything like what I saw.
In my mind this has gone too fiddly.
I am trying to think how I might achieve the dawn sky I saw, because it was dramatic, yet had a simplicity about it.

Maybe I will try a dawn sky tomorrow.

In the meantime I need to feed those cats, and have a cuppa myself...

Have the best day you can.

The foxes reminds me of blokes spotting the tool section while out with the wife ....

"I don't see the fascination, love .
Haven't you got most of them, already.?

How many more screwdrivers & saws do you really need ?.."

That is, before it goes all.
"GRAND THEFT ALU"
"Yaki Dah version."

That's one very smug fox, with his ill-gotten gains, tho....lol.

Oh, and painting works well.

MrSlim wondered if H is suffering from post Traumatic Stress? To make such a terrible statement goes against the professional standards of the forces and sets him ( and family) up as possible Taliban targets.
H is saying he wants to reconcile with his family, while his publicity almost certainly makes this unlikely, if not impossible.
Perhaps the book was originally supposed to be a private memoir?

Might not be what you wanted, but it is very dramatic and a lovely image.

I wonder how much H has come under the influence of life in America. Americans do love to tell the world about their lives and do seem to go in for navel gazing in public. Perhaps he doesn't realise how much he is being influenced by those around him.

Your painting looks just like the sky on my early morning walk in the park today.
