What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman and purple robed Roman senators.

Blood sugars this morning were a grrrrr inducing 4.7 , Me, me’s and myself were due to drive to the doctors for a routine blood test or two, but until I can get my level over 5.0 Mrs J will have to drive. Just for information I took less insulin last night and ate, which should have raised my levels this morning.
Fathoming blood sugars is a real headache, give me quantum mechanics anytime.
The doctors surgery have just rung up delaying my appointment by an hour or so, yippee.
Lots going on in Tilehurst Towers at the moment, Mrs J is having a clear out so it’s best I keep out of sight otherwise I will be bound for the charity shop.
Now I must depart Mrs J is looking my way.

Stay safe all.
I keep trying to get rid of stuff; then someone (usually Neil) brings something else in and dumps it on the floor somewhere. Last night it was DIL who had bought a pair of lamps she liked in a charity shop. She can't take them home while the dogs are all still there so they are now sitting in what was my sitting room but is now a junk room.

Morning assembled diabetics be you resolved, remitted or perplexed by the whole thing. Yesterday turned out to be sunny here and today is bright, cold and still winter :meh: Archie called it right @Krystyna23040. MIL, 93, stayed in bed yesterday and is still shaken from a collapse which may have been (another) mini stroke. She did manage to alert JKP via Alexa so was helped into bed. Proves the wisdom of moving her here. We have been here three years today - not the best time in our lives or those of England, I truly believe but for God I couldn't have functioned - even as well as I do before some wiseacre chimes in. Splendid and spectacular art today @gennepher and @dunelm. @gennepher I saw a polar bear in that one. @dunelm purple towel and license to raid your father's wine cellar - enjoy. Rubbish/clutter? MIL is adamant she wants to install much of hers here whereas I want to ditch our own ready to sell if the market is ever deTrussed. JKP and MIL had seen my point before she went all scorched earth on the economy. Some brass neck that woman. @alf_Josiah I hope the tests go well and the staff receive the appropriate counselling. Apparently there is a reshuffle by Loadsamoney but one joker is much like another. School run later - may your day also offer faith (in the right place) hope and charity.

My fbg this morning 7.0 lower than yesterday's 8.3 but still a lot higher than I would like.

Yes shuffle a pack of cards you just end up with the same pack just in a different order.
Hug for the higher fbgs lately. As for Liz T and her immediate predecessor, everyone fails and has weaknesses, that is the nature of the fallen beast. I have no love of Osborne but he has another career and keeps quiet at least on the national stage. Who knows what he stirs behind the scenes.? Cameron is fairly quiet as well. Why can't Johnson and Truss admit they had their go, messed up spectacularly due to their own defects, leave politics, maintain a dignified silence and live their lives? They can become as rich as Creosus for all I care, just please, please, please forget being an important national figure. Take JRM, Dorres and the rest with you please. I wish them all no ill just let some others clear up your mess so my children and grandchildren can live in a functional society.

And hugs for those pesky blood sugars...

Thanks for the words of the song.
I cannot see the polar bear, but I can see lots of other things...

Afternoon all.

Still swimming is the sea of six.

6.5 mmols off the coast, to be exact.

Chat with solicitors, just an update re progress on accident case....all going as expected.

Worrying news.

Cloud, the recently rehomed orphan cat, had got out of new forever home after two nights.

Had seemed settled, but managed to wiggle out of the tiniest opening in a window, into the garden & beyond.

Currently MIA.

Hope is she's local and will return to garden when hungry.

Lady is following all the usual things, calling out like a loony & making sucking, whistling & cat noises as she tours local area .

Food left out to tempt her back

I hope to report soon she returned & all is well again....<pray>

I'd like to thank Dunelm sponsors of
'this mornings: eye bleach, unforgettable moments.'

For leaving the image of one @dunelm + purple towel (kilted)
Impersonating Russel crowe acting as a gladiator ....:hungover:

I'm just glad he wasn't jumping around ala Mel Gibson & waving his tush.(brave heart) in the scene...:wideyed::hilarious:
Perhaps he was actually sipping one of these or auto-correct added the L since I'm certain @dunelm knew one from t'other. The Cloud seems to be a worry just now according to Panorama. Good news from solicitors and Peter the Meter.

Fair play you.

Guess I'm not the forgiving type

Got to go, a bit busy at min.

How on earth can it be so hard to order boiling oil, tar & feathers :banghead:

Is there some sort of shortage the MSM isn't telling us about ?
Knowing the values of my family and the community in which I was raised I know they would never have anything to do with either Boris or Liz in real life. My assumption is that Corbyn was deemed to be such a clear and present danger and they couldn't bear to admit Brexit was a huge mistake, especially his deal , that they held their noses and voted Tory. There is also the example of Michael who wouldn't accuse Satan but let God judge. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean I live up to the standard but I know what my aspiration should be and how much I need God's help to be a better version of myself.

They used to reckon when I was young if you put plenty of butter on their front feet they always returned. Derek

OMG my local MP has been named as deputy chair what a despicably awful hate full man he is.
You may like this. She must have read my earlier posts here before writing this. Your man certainly has his Hands full. Should fail spectacularly but land a prime job outside politics when the election is a disaster. That and derangement are the only reasons for taking that job.

She is spot on as usual..
And cutting ..

Truss, now claiming she's woke and a victim ..lol.
And Johnson a political 'incel'
Joyously humourous...

But the icing on the cake ...
" During her straight-to-meme time in No 10. ".... :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

Marjorie's 81st today, I took her into Tai Chi in Carlisle this am and brought her back and a great old lady of 92 from our local church rang her up this pm knowing it was her birthday.
She taught our two music when they were at the Junior school and still does local preaching when she is more mobile.
How time has flown.
D.
