What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentleman and purple robed Roman senators.

Blood sugars this morning were a grrrrr inducing 4.7 , Me, me’s and myself were due to drive to the doctors for a routine blood test or two, but until I can get my level over 5.0 Mrs J will have to drive. Just for information I took less insulin last night and ate, which should have raised my levels this morning.
Fathoming blood sugars is a real headache, give me quantum mechanics anytime.
The doctors surgery have just rung up delaying my appointment by an hour or so, yippee.
Lots going on in Tilehurst Towers at the moment, Mrs J is having a clear out so it’s best I keep out of sight otherwise I will be bound for the charity shop.
Now I must depart Mrs J is looking my way.

Stay safe all.
Ah, quantum mechanics - where anything can happen, at any time and for no reason

Marjorie's 81st today, I took her into Tai Chi in Carlisle this am and brought her back and a great old lady of 92 from our local church rang her up this pm knowing it was her birthday.
She taught our two music when they were at the Junior school and still does local preaching when she is more mobile.
How time has flown.
D.
Huge congratulations to your good lady. Tai Chi has a good reputation and Majorie is a wonderful ambassador. Shalom to you both.

She is spot on as usual..
And cutting ..

Truss, now claiming she's woke and a victim ..lol.
And Johnson a political 'incel'
Joyously humourous...

But the icing on the cake ...
" During her straight-to-meme time in No 10. ".... :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:
I am afraid the Tories are still embarked on an enormous campaign of self harm, particularly all the good laws from the E.U. will now go down the toilet.
There will be no protection for people or wildlife or your favourite green space.

Nothing will get in the way of Tory Doctrine, it's a steam roller.

Yet a little bit of air in a few blowup boats has brought them to their knees.

I did read it's all OUR fault, Project Tory is going so slow... :(

Those bodies won't pile themselves

Time has a habit of doing that - unless you are not enjoying it. And it speeds up as the years go by. Where did the last 50 years go?

Hope Marjorie had a happy day today and enjoys lots more birthdays yet to come.

Morning assembled diabetics be you resolved, remitted or perplexed by the whole thing. Yesterday turned out to be sunny here and today is bright, cold and still winter :meh: Archie called it right @Krystyna23040. MIL, 93, stayed in bed yesterday and is still shaken from a collapse which may have been (another) mini stroke. She did manage to alert JKP via Alexa so was helped into bed. Proves the wisdom of moving her here. We have been here three years today - not the best time in our lives or those of England, I truly believe but for God I couldn't have functioned - even as well as I do before some wiseacre chimes in. Splendid and spectacular art today @gennepher and @dunelm. @gennepher I saw a polar bear in that one. @dunelm purple towel and license to raid your father's wine cellar - enjoy. Rubbish/clutter? MIL is adamant she wants to install much of hers here whereas I want to ditch our own ready to sell if the market is ever deTrussed. JKP and MIL had seen my point before she went all scorched earth on the economy. Some brass neck that woman. @alf_Josiah I hope the tests go well and the staff receive the appropriate counselling. Apparently there is a reshuffle by Loadsamoney but one joker is much like another. School run later - may your day also offer faith (in the right place) hope and charity.
I do hope MIL is OK today. Yes, Archie definitely did call it right this morning.

Nighttime wildlife camera...
Cat Merlin's busy night ...
Cats Midnight, Amy, and Jade, and fox Foxy Loxy.
And Merlin saw something to chase...but it was offscreen...

Creative in Procreate...
Both Jade and Midnight present somewhere.
The moon is still bright in my garden, but I still see no foxes or badgers looking out my all glass bedroom door at night...nighttime camera tells me otherwise...

Have your best day...

A cuppa now required...

A wee extra.
Midnight...
A photo...
This is how he guards me all night..
Back in a mo...just getting the photo off my mobile...
Here it is...
Popeye did the same...

Hello to all from a very frosty Eastern Oddity. @Krystyna23040 (and @gennepher yesterday; if I missed anyone, sorry) thanks for the good wishes for MIL who is either taking her time to recover or had a more serious event yesterday. The Drs we all use had "reached the limit of our capacity" and she point blank refused to go to A and E. JKP is understandably very concerned but knows her mum's traits only too well. I hope your venue is warmed in time. BTW, Look East covered the whole region yesterday which was much more engaging for me. @lindisfel I hope you both had a wonderful day for Marjorie's birthday yesterday. As for your concern below

I'm with Katy B in that this is all about what next - they're basically scuttling the fleet and preparing for the next Big Thing. Be afraid, be very afraid since the more deluded elements seem madder and harder to kill than Rasputin. Austerity and Brexit: the operation was a success but the patient died.@JohnEGreen good news on the walk and thanks for the Youtube link. @gennepher thanks for the creative and bonus photo. I'm off for blood tests later and perhaps drop in for a complimentary coffee whilst picking up some celeriac - give chips a try - and belly pork. I looked at the ingredients list on Heck 97% sausages and came over all Puritanical which is odd since I ate Haggis. I never said I was logical or consistent - marginally more salt in Haggis, Heck taste much saltier to me - but (allegedly) no sugar. Anyhow that horse has bolted at least for a year. School pick up again later then feed and water two children before grandson goes off to cubs. May you also live in interesting times but sail through them as serenely as possible.

Thanks Ian.
Have a successful day with the blood tests, and enjoy that complimentary coffee later.
