Cat & Fox Argue

Cat Midnight lashes out and Foxy Loxy argues back...

Midnight is really an affectionate cat...honest...
It is just foxes and one particular badger...
Playing a little catch up, here.

And meant to comment earlier.

Midnight fairly dislikes that fox.

Seems more of a personal thing
Wonder if that fox or a close relative has history with midnight ?

A busy night

Smashing. Ghostly lovers in the lighthouse.

Good morning everyone from what may or may not be a drizzle or a dry and dull day here in the dark and dangerous north. Forecast indicates rain from 7 until 9 so that’s OK as we are not planning to go out until 0930. Meet up at a local park. Yesterday was spent foraging with the grandchildren as we wandered through the woods. We picked wild garlic for the salads at the feasting location while the walkers stomped up Roseberry Topping (see picture below) and then carried on for another 10 miles to end at Mrs Miggins’ brothers house where his wife was organising a gang of food providers and children entertainment. We (the foraging party) arrived before the walkers as we only covered 5 meandering miles - early enough to be first in the queue for snacks, drinks and to finish off the salads. Art bit - added a bit more detail despite a busy day. Will complete today at some point. Hope your Sunday gives you some joy and all the best with that garden @SlimLizzy. I really must make some koffy.

Late evening.

AM fbg a steady as she goes 5.9
Happy with that.

Stamina still catching me out.

A days work, (ebiked in)

A day off, tinkering, that I stupidly imagined would be half hours tops, that evolved ( when will I learn :banghead: ) Into several hours work & ending up me spotting an issue on Ebike that involved removing & ordering new chain (now arrived, awaiting time to put on)

& then an hour's rehab at gym, followed by another hour freestyling (weights, cardio, rowing)

Full days work next day.
And I knew station was too far to walk next morning ( no way I could commute all the way into work on pedal push bike alone)

So fixed up older bike for commute to & from station while Ebike stood down.

Blimey, what a difference that battery power makes.

So much more effort required, that tired me out even after all the months at the gym.

And if I'm honest knees not really up for the extra effort yet as it played me up all day
(Lesson belatedly re-learned  )

So after 3 full on days, I spent most of today..... sleeping

....aka power napping as I prefer to call it .

sounds more Zen & modern.
And less 'old man, just tired'...:hilarious:

Back to a day of 'doing' tomorrow...Matalan has been mentioned....:wideyed:

Wishing you all the best Sunday possible.

Gratuitous pic of part of my E-biking commute

It looks like SAS missed out on another great training instructor...Just saying :):):)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who will be left unsupervised today.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.8 , me and me’s and myself will say thank you to the meter.

Here’s a little tip to all grandparents, don’t teach this little poem to your grandchildren within earshot of the grandchildren’s parents.
Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
I don’t smell
Unlike You

Not sure about what I shall get up to today, temptation says go for a ride on my motorcycle, but the MAMILs will be out ( middle aged men in lycra) riding 17 abreast making it difficult for motorcyclists to squeeze past thereby breaking the new Highway Code rules. Perhaps I shall tidy up the patios then finish the hand rail I started months ago, or more probably sleep on the sofa.

Whatever I end up doing have a great day all and stay safe.

I could, but MrSlim is getting agitated about the shaggy looking garden. Did suggest leaving a largish patch to flower but came home to find he had cut it all. Paemracetamol can work wonders. Well he cut the remainder of the "garden" area, the rest is only mown occasionally. The orchard remains uncut until the orchids have set seed. Usually about end of May.

Looking at this I can see a lady in a long coat. Am I the only one?
Oh yes, I can see that @SlimLizzy

I like the 'sleep on the sofa' idea...

That'll be this afternoon....

I gave you winner, but a hug is needed as well for the 'half hour' jobs our brain tells us it will take...but in reality...

Yes! Power napping rules...

Had a few frozen chips with my chicken curry yesterday evening and expected BG to go high, allowed what I thought was the right amount of insulin, of course. Hypo before bed time. BG at 3 am was 6.9. Rose to 8.9 by 5 am and is still there.

Have to think about some breakfast soon. It's taken me this long to get my legs set up for the day and have taken my 2nd lot of pain killers so am hoping for improvement in about half an hour.

So much to be getting on with. Em has promised to help me sorting out the sitting room when she comes back from her trip to London but I don't expect too much of her, so must make an effort myself. She wants to help because I gave her some spending money for her trip (she had given her bank card to her sister's daughter to buy herself something. Ended up having about £50 taken out of her account for sweets, cosmetics and so on so her savings were quite a lot short for the trip. She won't do that again.) She wants to do some chores to repay me for the money. Not necessary, but it won't do her any harm.

Bye Bye say the ghosts, who have found each other for eternity...

Now, what do I paint/draw/whatever for tomorrow May 1st?

I haven't a clue.

Makes me feel like it is time for wee little nap...

My Skype video call is late today...

I think a self heating steam eye mask is next on my mythical 'to do' list for today...

Have your best day...

Midnight hates that fox with a vengeance.
He crouches low in the attack pose in that video...and if the camera is on Midnight's eyes, you can see them visibly narrowing at the sight of that fox.
The Trail Camera recordings started last Autumn I think. But Midnight already did not like the fox, so I have no idea what began this hate relationship...yet this fox comes back for more...

Excellent - don’t be blue about it though

Good morning all from L.A. where today should only be 987654321 layers - see attached. Not sure what my fbg was as Swipey may well be dodgy. @dunelm thanks for both the art and photo which are imposing for a guy raised and living in an area where anything slightly above sea level qualifies as at least a hill. @Krystyna23040 and @jjraak your days are like reading an Ant Middleton book but well done and now rest. @gennepher thanks for sharing the latest creative - blue is the colour eh JJ?. @Annb hugs for you over pain and Em for having her kindness abused somewhat. Today could see a trip to the aspirational farm shop/cafe for Sunday lunch with MIL's granddaughter's/JKP's nieces from Surrey but I'm excused if I want. I'm undecided as our son and grandchildren will also be there and we'll see them in that W place. I think the food is expensive and not great for my tastes. There is also plenty of sport on TV and I can keep an eye on the dogs (can see the big tv on lounge wall from farthest part of the garden, big tv average sized garden) - hmm. Enjoy your day, mine will involve tea and gaucamole (traditional Fen Tiger dish)
