What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Omg, yes

Sharp eyes Mr @dunelm
Sharp eyes ....
Actually, it is Midnight @jjraak
But I am so glad you still remember ny precious Popeye.
Midnight looks after me, as well as monitoring the animals in the nighttime garden. If I wake up in the night (and he has already stayed with me until I initially fell asleep), then he sees the light on and comes charging into the bedroom, miaowing his head off (complaining I should stay asleep (as he has done just now, it's 3:30 am) and has settled besides me, to get me back to sleep...

EDIT at 06:52 am: Popeye is honoured by >^..^< at the end of every signature I do on my paintings artwork

I woke again early, my mind racing and planning a possible charity to help the poor. No credit to me it's entirely God's work, I am just a pair of hands.

All this has been since the beginning of December and I had a remarkable change in my health.
I realised to serve the one I believed in I need to care for my fellow man and look after life on our so small blue jewel.

It no good saying I am too old at 84

If we are atheist, agnostic or beliestewards of the Earth and loving our fellow. Basically that is the story behind Adam and Eve. It not reality but complex parable.

It points to a metamorphosis to a new reality where what is retained by a great non human mind I can be remade again in a relality not subject to change and decay.

Wonderful tree. I like trees. Good use for a white circular sticker.

Good morning everyone under a wonderful yellow streaked sky here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.7 this am at 0600. The sun was shining yesterday so out for a walk - down into town, visit the facilities, walk back. A circular route. 5.6 miles including all the wandering around the house. Will we repeat today - maybe. Some eggs need using up as well as some crème fraise - a Smoky frittata perhaps. I like cooking, it’s like stress relief for me. I sometimes have a little helper, stood on a stool. It’s more messy but a lot of fun. Art bit - wrap up warm. Wednesday - one time hemera Hermu and sneakily the third or even the fourth day of the week depending upon what soil you may be standing on but don’t take the hump - I just think that I need to put the bin out tonight. Whatever, I hope your day gives you some cheer. Best finish my koffy.

Looks Like a day of WIN, to me.

Cool FBG
A delightful slow tour

And agree on the cooking.
I wasn't the best cook pre DX, and I really dived in way beyond my comfort zone (or sanity)
And gave all the 'alternative' ways & means to pre T2D food lchf.

I freely admit I quit most, because of..
A. Failure
B. It was all too much faffing about.

But I did keep much of it, and like you found it very relaxing.

Lauren does most cooking now, I'm trying to get back in to it, but I get frustrated when cutting that I forgot my right hand got expelled from cooking school because it's too lazy to grip things properly.
(Only so much help a fork offers :banghead: )

Your helper sounds an ideal way to spend some time .

Remember the sense of achievement & pleasure we both got when me & and an 8 year old Steph made store bought cake mix.

Happy days

Enjoy yours, @dunelm

BGs in the 5's so far since I got up at 0315.

Been blowing a hooley outside but a bit calmer now - still very windy and noisy but at least not banging and crashing into the front of the house as it was during the night. Usually the banging and crashing means wind speed about the 70 - 80 mph mark. Just now I reckon about 50 - 60. Weather app says SSW 43 mph - but that's on the other side of the bay from us. Stronger here, I reckon. It also says 67% chance of light rain, but it's 100% bucketing down outside the window.

No ferry, of course, and no planes. So no mail plane. Alistair tells me that the Royal Mail is considering stopping chartering the mail plane and sending everything on the ferry. That'll slow the mail down even further. All about cost cutting, of course. A few (60) years ago the mail used to come on a steamer from Glasgow to the islands. It would slowly make its way up to west coast, calling at all the islands on the way until it arrived at Stornoway. Seems we are going back to that service. Not as reliable in fact because those old steamers sailed in the most atrocious weather conditions, which the modern ones wouldn't attempt. Tougher ships and tougher sailors then.

Good morning all from L.A. where the sky is all Gandalf the White but the Ts and Cs say subject to change without notification. Apologies to some farming and fruit growing family I know well, or indeed to whom I may be closely related. Wednesday is data/bench marking day. All seems fine - good actually - but it is data not information and certainly not knowledge. The accuracy is also dubious: Fbg is awol at least until next Friday when I assume The Prof will reveal the main part of my last MRI. @gennepher thank you for sharing the creative and I hope plan B (aka Benjamin Paul Ballance-Drew?) goes well. @dunelm splendid art - thank you. Was the yellow streaked sky intended before this morning? Cooking as stress relief? The whole process of weighing, entering amounts into cronometer, cutting/mixing/right method to heat (basically drying out) is too much hassle especially as JKP is so much better and more patient. I do enjoy making a salad and eating sashimi though and I’m the avocado chef. Last school pickup of the week today then a rapid feed, change and delivery to Squirrels by 4.15 back home then the adults eat and tonight I limber up to watch Angeball in the living room not the sport tv room. I must do the next set of 250+ steps, have something minimal and gut health friendly (as if it makes a difference to S4C) to eat for #tabletgate and make tea for the gels. Enjoy your own Wednesday.

YELLOWSTONED Fansite episode #1

"Hi y'all, it rips older brother Ripe.

Moseying on down from Fart2hi pastures, with a small herd of circa 10.0 head of those ornery CarbCattle.

Worse then trying to herd cats, but we're getting there.

Lost a few, and quick head count before breakfast chow with Cookie O'Reilly, proved my hunch right..7.2.

Checking my books seems we're down by three overall since new years.
(One or two usually turn up, ragged & bored after they've eaten something they shouldn't or they get scared by something after a night or two in the bush)

But the trends definitely downwards ...hope Big JJ, is ok with that.

Anyways Pardners, gotta go, suns up & these bad boys won't get to Beatitville before the end of the day.

Then it's back to YELLOWSTONED, boys in the bunkhouse been in a bar fight of some sorts  , and Beth's, been blown up, shoved out a window, shot some guy & going ballistic over some blond sleeping with her dad..ho hum..just another day back at the ranch.

And people ask me why I love it so much...go figure.

Adiós Amigos..."

Yeehaw as my neighbours are wont to exclaim :playful: Have a song - could be several meanings intended:) Lyrics for you Genn. Map and some info (I loved teaching this stuff for GCSE history back in the day in that there Saart Lundin - the other option was Elizabethan England :arghh: )

Thank you @jjraak. I got very cheffy about 25 years ago and it all came to a head when making crystallised thin slices of Aubergine one day and suddenly looking down and thinking, “just what do you think you are doing here?” I keep it quite simple now but do do all the cooking.

Your going through so much I never realised you were carrying such a personal cross when I was on the R.H. Forum.
That's a real privelege for us here, we all care about each other and we have empathy for our friends who are on the same journey, so remember Lamont, you are not alone!
D.
Thanks mate, I have always had time for you and your own personal issues with RH and the further restrictions and limitations due to your young age and conditions. I think that you have done us all proud about how you achieved this. You are a great example of how personal battles with your health and the advice from NHS guidance, to be as healthy as you can be.
And your personal information about your working life is so rich and wise.
It is indeed, an honour and privilege to be able to get to know you.
Getting sloppy now.
Don't want to get others jeslous. Ha!

Thanks again mate.

Thank you @ianpspurs. Avocado chef - very maridadi. I do like sashimi but not the making of it.
