Cats Jade & Midnight - then Skinny Fox - then two Badgers(Ma & Pa Badger)
If you notice Jade when she jumps off the swing, she walks straight into the bush the badger was, just seconds before. She often does this...

Creative...
I got a postcard yesterday, which was of a doorway to a landscape. A small boy was sitting in the doorway. The door itself was the pages of a book.
So, that is where this Creative idea came from. Pen and waterbrush on a postcard.

When I was a small child, my 'doorways' were entrances to places where I looked out from, eg I lived on a farm besides Sherwood Forest. There were no restrictions about going right up to the Major Oak then. I used to go in the hollow of the tree with my dog, and we would watch people go past. Also, just up the lane from the farm was the River Maun where there is a sandstone outcrop, and I found a cave there which only could be accessed by wading in the river, and I sat in there for hours with my dog. It was not until many years later I discovered that it was actually called Robin Hood's Cave.
I went there early one summer morning (5am?) about 25 years ago with my first hearing dog for the deaf. We got into the cave. But a short while later some young Boy Scouts (the scout camp was just in the woods) put their heads round the entrance. The horror on their faces when they saw someone and a dog at the back of the cave. They screamed and fled. I thought it might be a wise idea at that point to leave...

Also, often in my dreams I come across doorways, but these doorways I know I must not go through... If I open them, there is a vast dark terrifying abyss at the other side. I have never leapt into it. I always thought I might never wake up from my dream if I did that...

On that bright note, have a great day.

Time for a cuppa!

This may bring back some memories of those walks it’s a bit long and I know you may not be able to follow the dialogue but the visual elements are there.

Morning all on Mardi Gras 2024. I was going to link Paul Simon's song but @JohnEGreen has stolen the show with the soundtrack and driving force of the last two years for me - stunning. Thanks John. Thankfully one two year old boy and his sister won't understand the depth and mix of love and sorrow involved in seeing them this afternoon. FBg? what have I eaten? C'mon, after that don't be silly. Now I need to take some steps, sip some tea, pray and come back with a more businesslike post later God bless and be with you now and always John.

Good morning everyone on a contemplative quite start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.5 this am on the scales of Anubis. Liver not best pleased and went on one of its morning rants. Lovely day yesterday so out in the sunshine to the park for swings and slides. Then down to the lower prom for a wander to see what the spring tides have dumped before climbing back to the upper prom - 186 steps - we counted them all. There is another play area to check out - mainly the slide and the swings. Bus home - phew! Cut my finger - was it a cut, a scratch, a slash, a rip, a tear - well it dripped and then gushed an arm full of polyphenol laced energy that I had spent days collecting out of berries, red chillies and dark chocolate. Mrs Miggins put a Peppa Pig plaster on it and gave it a kiss better - “stuff and nonsense.” Art bit - this may take a while. Hope your day is stress free (ish). I need to finish my koffy and then do some exercises.

A lovely story and finely illustrated - is that an apple next to you. Perhaps from the tree outside? We used to go to Sherwood Forest on my uncles motorbike and side car - two adults and four children. I suppose that we would all be arrested nowadays!
Thank you @dunelm
Yes it is!

You could get quite a lot in those old sidecars...

I know it's not why we are here, so apologies.

But for anyone not aware of the govts Freeport policies,
(See charter cities & SEZ* #special economic zones, too ) carol vordeman is now using her platform to expose it.

In the case 'it won't bother me', I'd suggest checking just so you know.

I think I was of the opinion these are areas would be small, compact strips.

Been tried apparently*
Even the World Bank itself now broadly acknowledges SEZs have failed to live up to their promise.
* Honduras

Here the real size & number of them

*Editing post on fly, and then it duplicated itself..apologies .

Thank you very much @JohnEGreen
The guy is an idiot!
It's just as well. No one will realise it is still there...apart from children...
Two ways into Robin Hood's Cave.
Either climb down from above, but you have to know the exact spot.
Or actually get into the River Maun and wade down. It is up to waist deep in summer months or if water is low. Or if the river is flooded it is deep enough to swim in. There is a massive bed of nettles at the base of that sandstone outcrop.
I could get you in there...apart from needing my two crutches...

I know of the Liverpool Freeport @jjraak
It is a pretty fair size covering Wirral, Liverpool, to Port Salford....
I always wondered about them...

Funny thing is Robin Hood’sCave is about 10 miles from where I am may pay it a. Visit this summer though Keiran may have to give me a hand.

Thank you Ian....

Fascinating how “conservative commentators” have rowed in here when as far as I can see MAGA (and Brexit largely) is all about permanently angry white men shouting in everyone’s faces. What have I missed? The point about "players of colour" being treated differently stands though - Colin Kaepernick anyone? I do see so much of life through the prism of sport. @JohnEGreen that song you linked is basically what Big Ange has done for Spurs players.
