What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Prep for tomorrow included having breakfast at 7.00 then lunch at 12.00 then no more solid food until at least 17.00 hrs Sunday. I made a Faustian pact with a slice of white toast - keto bread is off .limits - lots of butter, a piece of cheese and plenty of lemon Darjeeling tea. The fun starts at 19.00 with an encore at 6.00 am tomorrow. I'm no longer a sprinter. Oh, deep, deep joy. @Krystyna23040 what a good father Mr K is and two bacon sandwiches is a bargain for a car. Your daughter must be a hood negotiator. :D
Hope all goes well tomorrow @ianpspurs.

Yes, daughter is a very good negotiator. A car for two bacon sandwiches is a bargain.

5.7 this morning temperature outside is minus 1 and this is the last day of my seventy third year .
Lucky Mr K a day out complete with bacon sandwiches
May I be the next to wish you happy birthday. Even though you have aged so much since yesterday, and of course you wear it well!

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny start to the day here on the west coast. Lovely drive over yesterday and mint cake was successfully avoided when we stopped in Kendal for lunch. Pleasant little self contained annex to stay in with Herdwick sheep in the field next door. Plan for today is to visit a couple of small towns, get a train over the estuary, have a walk in some woods and have dinner in a pub. Pub is a pleasant 1 mile stroll down to the village and then an interesting 1 mile climb back in countryside darkness, carrying a torch to alert speeding farmers of our presence on the narrow lane. Art bit - wet on wet watercolour and then lines applied with a dip pen. Hope your day, whatever it is called, is a pleasant one. Koffy time.

Really like it!

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all except the media peddling doom gloom and depression. Whatever you perceive things to be it is still a beautiful world and remember the words of Issac Asimov “ Violence is the last resort of the incompetent “

Blood sugars this morning were 7.8 I shall not complain that level is well within my hospital given range.

Today here in Tilehurst Towers it will be a day of discussion and planning, ie me, me’s and myself sitting quietly nodding my head at suitable points while Mrs J tells me what is planned for me. Yes I know my place. Later Mrs J might trim my beard or might not, it’s a mystery.

What do you all know about ear worms? Tunes that you cannot stop thinking about one that is rattling round my brain is “ Windmills of your mind “ from the film The Thomas Crown Affair.
Unfortunately that tune or song is mixed up with another song by a group called The Firm the song is “ Startrekking across the universe “ These two songs have no relevance to each other and are doing my brain in…..
Going for a cold shower, bye.
The best way to get rid of an earworm is to sing it out loud, until the boss slaps you and suggests in uncompromising approach to shut the .... Up!

Think Sheldons ear worm was an excellent tune. Darlin' by The Beach Boys.

Mine today is The Isley Brothers.......Summer Breeze.

Plenty out for St David's day.
My garden is just about to explode with flowering spring bulbs.
Love it.

Had a decent day today.
I have discovered sunshine, my garden, cricket, and footie today.
Done chores, shopping, more than I have for a while, amazing how some blue skies help you with your day, a smile on my gob and looking for things to do to do some pottering about.

Mrs L made me smile, when she couldn't find something, when obviously she had no idea what she was looking for.
However, she found something, but told me, to look for it, anyway, cos, it wasn't there!I
She meant to tell me, she had, so I did, and it was there. Surprised I was.
It is becoming clear, that, Mrs L, is becoming mixed up, in her reasoning, her unusual thought processes, are causing some confusion, to how to get used to always agreeing with her and doing something else which is more conducive to our lifestyle.
It can be **** about face, it is never straightforward. It is keeping me on my toes. And it is really a busy day,
I hope you understand.
And then explain it to me. Ha!

New ear worm..........Pump Up The Jam. By....................... Technotronic. Bloody adverts!

Haven't watched much today except sport, unusual f2f a Saturday!!!
But I do try and catch up with the news. But, for some reason, I have not, maybe it's my outlook today, or maybe it's I can't be ***** with it all and decided it's better for me not to, subconsciously.
And because have been on my feet all day, no time for anxious thoughts.
A good day!

Intersting and I think it has now been answered in so many ways - personally I now buy it. I pour a bit into a bowl, add a dollop of live yoghurt, some chia seeds and a few nuts, seeds or frozen berries - give it a stir and leave on the kitchen top until it thickens - just a few spoon fulls seems enough for me - I sometimes put in a teaspoon of ground flax if I remember.
