What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all from L.A. where post Thanksgiving day dawns bright and chilly. I don't know my fbg and even if I did there are none of the issues currently in my in tray with which that would help. @gennepher my heart goes out to you as they say but despite all that you manage to share videos, creatives and photos - amazing. @JohnEGreen well done Keiran. @Lamont D I can't praise that coaching post enough - though I'm pretty sure you'd fail OFSTED for not scripting to the Nth degree. That's the crack in OFSTED and your post is the light. @Annb hug for the stress of the news from that consultation. It would be interesting to find out why your GP never told you. @dunelm thank you for sharing another splendid red roof piece and the wonderful account of how the minds of 5 year old children work. Who knew blond girls aged more slowly or were shorter? Our 4 blond girls seem to age normally and are well above average height (so is the dark haired one), could be an anomaly up there in the D and D region. They all live in the sunny South and East although their dad's are at least 6 feet 4 and mum's are about 6 feet tall, which may just be coincidence. As for Black Friday, we need a new tumble drier as ours seems to be making music and it isn't one which should. @SlimLizzy's tale of woe makes that urgent, not sure about bargains but any offers are helpful. Heat pump ones are all the go and seem to be Wifi and app enabled - whatsit knows why. @Krystyna23040 do still take it as easy as your DNA allows. Lots of words from me for no use whatsoever, perfect summary of where I'm at these days. Enjoy Friday - it's super salmon salad day (with Zoe 30+ sprinkles) here, well for me anyhow.
I thank you for the compliment.
I was going to include after that post last night, my game on teamwork, tactics, shape and so on.
partnerships in footie is crucial. Etc.
but I couldn't cos I was knackered.
And I needed my pit.

any who, busy day as per. And a phone call to chill my faith in the surgery I belong to.

chrimbo spectacular in front garden. Three hours later, satisfied with job jobbed, and will check when it goes more darker than the dullness in the sky. Cold, windy, cloudy and still no rain.

phoned surgery pressed the right button for the jab team, as they have not been to us at home, as requested and agreed, no answer. Rang off, phoned again, no answer, phoned again, then phoned reception.
No appointment down, no mention of home visit, nowt in records, it does seem we have been forgotten.
I told them, Mrs L is on the at risk list since before covid, before the group took over our surgery.
Oh, we have just about finished for this year.....
I don't know if you yourself need to come in for your jab?
But I have a letter with the GP, I have had home visit before.
No record. You have to speak to a GP.
It will have to be a home phone appointment? Cos it would need someone to babysit, can't leave her on her own.
Yeah next week on the 6th, I think , no confirmation.
Appointment for jabs,18th december. Wow!

Gonna have fun when dsn is supposed to phone me, in the next week or so. I hope.

Is it me?

But big shop was due to be delivered before ten a.m. This morning, it arrived at just before One p.m.
No on contacted us, it was gonna be late I did phone, and the only information I got was it would be delivered today....
I asked the driver, the other driver, went sick!!!!!!

It is me, isn't it?
I'm not paranoid. It's my anxiety, really.
It is me!
Just waiting till the next thing goes wrong.

Lovely piece of haddock for our meal later.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all those who in their youth never gave a thought to the future, now what a prophetic thought for a Friday afternoon? I must have read it somewhere :) .

My blood sugars this morning were 6.0 again, which was a surprise.

Our second youngest grandson is supervising Mrs J and me, me’s and myself today, courtesy of a school inset day, will Tilehurst Towers ever recover, yes of course is an answer of sorts.

Lots of chatter about edumacation and the tales of @gennepher ’s dismantling, how Gennepher copes is an example to a least me, me’s and myself. See, an education. It appears examples to learn are everywhere. It’s a shame our political leaders don’t learn.

Now after having my afternoon nap and being woken up by my grandson, I must move boxes containing decorations from one location in Tilehurst Towers to a more convenient one for Mrs J and forlornly earning brownie points. It appears any brownie points any male earns have a life measured in picoseconds, in Tilehurst Towers.

Must go………yes dear just coming.
Thank you @alf_Josiah

My first thoughts on the attached were what could he have done to help - insert worthy cause of choice - with that money?. Then I was reminded by the Holy Spirit or whatever else you think that I recently bought 4 new shirts, a Cambridge University Rowing Club fleece (because I wanted one for years) and will be eating wild Alaskan salmon for evening meal and today we bought a new tumble dryer when we have a garden with a rotary clothes line. I'm just not wearing polo shirts or using towels which exfoliate my, now very delicate, skin. The mote and beam are very uncomfortable just now.
The thing with that piece of artwork is that the banana can be replaced over and over again fairly cheaply and still be the same work of art. They should have called it "Conspicuous Consumption". :banghead:

OMG disaster has struck our piece is about to be shattered Keiran on his return from London today is now the proud owner of a brand new electric guitar and is determined to teach himself to play it and will take no instruction from his grandfather who obviously does not know one end of a guitar from the other oh well now he has finished his masters he needs a hobby I suppose.

Oh no @JohnEGreen - although I don't think that it will be as bad as when one of my daughters enthusiastically started to learn to play the violin.

My son’s choice when at secondary school was the trombone mind you he did end up playing in Liverpool RC cathedral with the school orchestra.
Melody bless her chose the flute an instrument far more to our liking.
Give Judith a guitar and she’s lost give her a guitar and some sheet music and she will play for hours if you let her.

Good morning everyone from another day in paradise here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am - mustn’t grumble Mr Dickens we can still almost dry our washing at a reasonable charge for using our washing lines on days that end with the letter Y. The sun has decided to make an appearance. Must get out there and wallow in some vitamin d manufacturing even though the d thing is not a vitamin after all and too much of it turns you into a statue made of calcium - probably the origin of that pillar of salt tale. Assisted dying - people jumping up and down on either side of another fence - not even finished with yet as now going to committee - will they do something about palliative care as well - just have to wait and see but already there is talk of the latest get rich quick schemes on the back of whatever emerges. I’m already buying up empty gel capsules (vegan of course - we don’t want anyone to miss out) and filling them with vim. I make light but it’s a serious issue and I remember the complexities that my sister went through for her end of life agreement in France and the interviews with immediate family members. Anyhow, art bit - a red sky yesterday between the dark and the light; “attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion”. Hope this bit of sunshine warms your bones, best make even more koffy.

Good just on the cusp of Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

My blood sugars this morning were 5.8

Here in Tilehurst Towers we will be into day 2 of Mrs J’s Christmas decoration assembly.
Mrs J has received a communication from the electricity supplier asking if they will need to run more supply into the house.
I’m just grateful that Mrs J no longer uses candles, think of the global warming issues.

Assisted dying and Black Friday. The cynics amongst us could well be thinking perhaps we should assist the marketing people to die?

Stay safe all.
I am now running for cover…..

That is so lovely that your family is so musical. Unfortunately our children inherited my complete lack of musical ability. I really wished that they had inherited Mr K's musical talent.

My father sang, I sing, Alistair sings. No talent at all with instruments other than the voice. Tom's grandfather played any instrument that came to hand, his mother played piano, Tom played any instrument he picked up and Neil plays a multitude of instruments. It must depend on whatever genes you happen to inherit.

Fbg... Don't know as I never took it as I was up all night...
