What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

OMG disaster has struck our piece is about to be shattered Keiran on his return from London today is now the proud owner of a brand new electric guitar and is determined to teach himself to play it and will take no instruction from his grandfather who obviously does not know one end of a guitar from the other oh well now he has finished his masters he needs a hobby I suppose.
plucking nightmare mate!

No fbg, I did forget, or was it on purpose?
it is me!
I'm convinced.
had a terrible night with Mrs L ensuring, I didn't, for a number of reasons.
however my plans for the chrimbo tree has been done. I did want the lot up before advent, but I have failed as the ornaments and other decs, will have to wait till tomorrow or Monday now.
The Angel took me around half an hour to get her straight. Don't know who is worse?
#8 helped a little making sure I put the candy canes where he could reach them. #7 approved of the light show through the house. But the box bedroom didn't, it needs a carpet grandad.
And nicer bedding, no pink?
It is me!
I'm knackered.

Best wishes on meter reading day.

Strange lights in the skies hereabouts. Rumours of a couple by the name of Mulder and Scully suddenly appearing at Costa in town and booking tables here. What japes. Surely not an elaborate hoax to drum up trade for the pork Sunday roast tomorrow? No noticeable extra security as we drove past the main gate today though.
It has got to be the yokels playing with their chrimbo lights.
Some village idiot trying to create the Northern lights down sarf.

It won't be that idiot clarkon, protesting that a tax loophole has been shut in his face.
Funnily enough, now that I think on.
There was another tractor protest in March, about the benefits of brexit and the tories shambles of a farming polcy, that never happened. gonna bet you there were not any right wing nutters or MP's on that that tractor rally.

Some tories or those that are right of right wing are swapping political parties and allegiances, just to get a headline.

Mrs L approved of the tree ceremony, as we sat down for the tea ceremony, as we looked forward to our tea. (Dinner down sarf)

DiL has had her shifts for the chrimbo period in the hospital.
She will be off Christmas eve, but a six hour shift Christmas morning.
Then off till 28th.
Before Christmas eve, four twelve hour shifts.
It is her turn to do Christmas day.

Sometimes I just don't believe that British society has a clue that the front line of services, have to work Christmas. During my thirty five years in the car factory, we always finished at the lstest, dinnertime Christmas eve. Then wouldn't be back in till the 2nd January at the earliest. Bar one exception, the shift stated new years day at 9.30. It was because new years day was on a Monday and the holiday entitlement was strange that time.

Then when I started in the kit department, I had to work anytime around the football fixtures. I was in most days, as the games could be any day, and because we played boxing day, the players trained Christmas day. So I had to be in. There was always four games around the Christmas fixtures, so over ten days, I would probably have one day off. But as the youth and academy were off, I could go in for a few hours on players days off.
I don't think I ever did get my full holiday entitlement.
There was only one summer because of the three play offs, that I got an extended holiday away from the training ground. I had to be the last to go on holiday, and the first to return, to sort out the new kit. Before the staff and players came in for preseason training.
The first play off which we lost, I was supposed to be allowed at least six weeks off. I got three.
I'm not moaning, just giving you an idea of how most of the working population don't work in an office, as the beeb tells you.

So, what do the nearly a million people who earn their cash in the city of London actually do?
Notice, I didnt say work?

Bestest wishes, enjoy our non footie weekend, it is sacrilege not to be playing this weekend!

My father sang, I sing, Alistair sings. No talent at all with instruments other than the voice. Tom's grandfather played any instrument that came to hand, his mother played piano, Tom played any instrument he picked up and Neil plays a multitude of instruments. It must depend on whatever genes you happen to inherit.
Yes, you are right. It must be down to the genes we inherit. Your family was lucky and inherited the musical genes.

My 3rd great grandfather and his son my 2nd great grandfather were both pipers for the duke and dutchess of Northumberland they both played other instruments including the violin my grandmother on my mums side was a good pianist I can get a tune out of the guitar as can Adrian Judith’s brother and his son Robbie play a lot of instruments Robbie was in a band that won the Liverpool battle of the bands one year so there does seem to be a lot of musicality in the family though I seem to have inherited the leat of it.

Trail Cameras
Blackbird & The Pigeon

Since we had the cold weather and snow, Ma & Pa Badger, their son Boy Badger, & Foxy Loxy, have not made an appearance in my back garden.

This is a long time for them not to appear, and I am wondering if something has happened to them. I've always assumed that Foxy Loxy probably lived in the same tunnels as the Badgers because they nearly always arrive together...

Ma & Pa Badger have been visiting my garden since around 2022 which was when I put up the trail cameras.

Same video on TikTok

I always said (only to my self) that if something happened to Pa Badger & Ma Badger, Boy Badger, and Foxy Loxy, then that is the day I stop doing these videos and posting them.

I think that day might have arrived. All I can think of is maybe their burrows or sett has collapsed. Or maybe for some reason they've been relocated for housing...
Oh maybe worse...

Today something a little strange happend. I bumped into someone who I last saw quite a few months ago. For some reason we had started talking to each other. She had introduced herself, and when I said my name, I said it as I write it online. And she had said with a 'g' ? I've seen your name on the internet....

So I told her I posted videos of the wild animals in the garden. And then she followed me on Instagram. She had been looking out for me again remembering the time I was in this shop last time, but she didn't know I was picking up an eBay parcel. I remembered your car she said, it was green.

She asked what had happened to the family of badgers, and the fox. I told her they had gone missing since the cold weather, but I was posting videos of the Pigeon and Blackbird now, but I didn't know how long I was going to do that.

And then she explained she had been watching the pigeon and blackbird, in her garden, there was just one pigeon and one blackbird as well she said. She had watched every single one of my videos... No she said it can't be possible that the badgers and the fox won't visit anymore, they'll be back she said.

Creative is a kaleidoscope of the new green blanket I have ..

If this post does not make sense then blame the late hour because I am half asleep here...

Night night sweet dreams....

Just remembered one more line. I still have well over a hundred SD cards that I have not looked at yet of the badger family and Foxy Loxy.

Will I post these if the badger family
and foxy loxy do not come back?

This post might make very little sense... I apologize if I am writing nonsense

Back in a moment when I find where I have put with kaleidoscope photo...

It was on another device.

Good morning everyone from another day in paradise here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am - mustn’t grumble Mr Dickens we can still almost dry our washing at a reasonable charge for using our washing lines on days that end with the letter Y. The sun has decided to make an appearance. Must get out there and wallow in some vitamin d manufacturing even though the d thing is not a vitamin after all and too much of it turns you into a statue made of calcium - probably the origin of that pillar of salt tale. Assisted dying - people jumping up and down on either side of another fence - not even finished with yet as now going to committee - will they do something about palliative care as well - just have to wait and see but already there is talk of the latest get rich quick schemes on the back of whatever emerges. I’m already buying up empty gel capsules (vegan of course - we don’t want anyone to miss out) and filling them with vim. I make light but it’s a serious issue and I remember the complexities that my sister went through for her end of life agreement in France and the interviews with immediate family members. Anyhow, art bit - a red sky yesterday between the dark and the light; “attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion”. Hope this bit of sunshine warms your bones, best make even more koffy.
A stunning painting @dunelm

I bet that you have inherited a lot more musicality than I have @JohnEGreen

Good morning everyone from a dull and chill start to Advent Sunday and @winterofficial.com (obviously now on Bluesky since X is to be shunned) here in L.A. Worry ye not bargain hunters, Black Friday will seque seamlessly into cyber Monday: not sure what cyber Monday has to do with the clothing companies offering me their discounted wares but I'm gormless so its me not you. @gennepher your post was admirably lucid and I am thankful to you for sharing the video and creative. @Krystyna23040 I watched the programme on UPFs and have some thoughts but I need to re-watch the start, especially his explanation of that graph of the rise in obesity rates, to be properly fair to him. Initial thoughts were he rushed the ending because it didn't suit his thesis and he ignored a herd of elephants in the room just to make his point. @JohnEGreen I'm sure the Blade runner reference was excellent, sadly totally wasted on me as were all attempts to get me to sing in tune or make music. Anyhow, have a song which, for me, has as many layers as I need in this weather but the video is joyous and the voices are melodious. Lyrics for anyone interested. I obviously have a woke/virtue signalling/low carb (nutritionals attached) Advent calendar: haters gonna hate, be my guest, knock yerselves out. Have yourselves a Merry Little Sunday, well perhaps not Fulham FC and supporters.

I do hope that foxy loxy and the badger family do visit again @gennepher. Your post made perfect sense.

More so than an instruction I gave to class members. There was a gasp of horror when I said - 'on hands and knees - make sure that wrists are directly below hip joints and knees directly below shoulder joints'. At least it proved that they were listening to my instructions.

I love the colours in the kaleidoscope
