Thank you @ianpspurs. Stage 2 treatment is now booked for April..
Hope all goes as well as it has so far. Before or after Easter Eggs? Those Montezuma personages produce some but as they are very Woke some posters will be clutching their pearls :playful:

FBG 9.8 this morning. going in the right direction but I am not sure it will continue. Its looking like a stressful week ahead.
Even it there is a slide back & we all have them at time.

Every day you are moving in the right direction IS another step back to a healthier you.

1 day further away from any complications than if you hadn't even bothered at all, right.

And as l'oreal so succinctly put it
"YOU'RE WORTH IT"

Keep on keeping on.
There's no one who can beat you, but you.

I see by previous posting you know this, but sometimes it good to hear it said out loud.

Best of luck .

It is before Easter Eggs @ianpspurs. Actually lately I have preferred 85% chocolate rather than the 100% Montazumas. The 85% feels so luxurious and rather wicked after only having 100% for so long.

Thankyou:) Its been 'easy' to get caught caught up in looking after everyone else. But I know I can't continue like that. And it is good to hear it out loud.

I hear that

A long stint looking after mum & dad.
Both gone, god bless them.

But I wouldn't change a thing.

But someone did remind me, I had to take time for me too, if I was to be of Any use to them.

This rather sums up the sentiment nicely.
Take care .

9.7 today, back into target. I know that I had very few carbs at dinner last night... A single pitta bread with my vegetable kebab, and two chips pinched from hubby.
Today will be a different story... Off into Glasgow to see Al Murray at the Pavilion tonight. We have a pre-theatre curry booked, and an overnight hotel even though it's only 20 minutes on the train.

@Peanut234 I think most of us have been there. I certainly have. My diabetes was first diagnosed not long after my mum passed away (metastatic breast cancer and dementia) whilst going through a trying time with my eldest son (school refusal, ADHD and autism). Every time it has been really badly controlled has been a phase where I have put others first. Self-care isn't selfish. I've learned the hard way that I need to be fit to care for others. As they say, you cannot pour from an empty cup.

Right, I need to go and get organised, pack an overnight bag etc. Then off to the salon for hair and nails. I haven't been out-out in SO long!

Good morning everyone on a smorgasbord of a crisp and chilly start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
Farmers market today - sourdough stock up and kimchi. First though it’s monthly veterans breakfast club. Only about a dozen of us this time last year but now, about 30.
Girl In The Bubble staying over tonight so we are looking forward to being entertained with letter formations, vowel sounds and whatever homework she has for us to ponder. Hope it’s not the discriminant rules for a quadratic equation like the last offering.
Art bit - less grey. Or, if you read the book, fewer.
Hope your day is not all Jacques Brel songs but if it is, here is a jolly one In English, without all that gargling. Lyrics. Best make koffy.

I was refused the transfer of hotel dates.

I did check that hotel site to see if there were any available dates on what I needed, And it looked as though they could have transferred the dates.

I didn't know what I was going to do.

So daughter in Australia suggested that my son rang the hotel.

5 minutes later son whatsapped back. He had talked them into giving me a transfer of dates.

Makes a lot easier when you can actually hear on the phone and talk with people, and fortunately I can't do that..

Now I can breathe again.....

EDIT: didn't this post last night?... I need to check back..

Stuff has changed...hotel are still sending booking confirmations for the wrong dates...

Still a nightmare

Enjoy your veteran's breakfast club this morning.

Fbg 8.2

Son got involved with the booking that they refused for me to transfer. I got request denied.
Son Phoned, and he said all sorted, mum, you will get an email with the new dates.

When the email came through, it was a reconfirmation of the old dates which I do not need now because of the cancellation...

He's going to try again today.

I have been very good since getting the original date. I do rub my eyes, because of my dry eyes with sjogrens syndrome to try and get the sleep out, eyedrops was never enough. But this morning because of all this latest stuff with the hotel and the change of operation date I just went in for an eye rub as I woke up, to get all the dry eye stuff out of my eyes.
I am annoyed myself that I relapsed this morning. It is not so important today, but it will be after the op.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop rubbing my eyes, any strategies or anything?
I have my eyedrops right beside my bed and I've been training myself to reach for them as I wake up. But I was so so tired this morning I didn't do that.. I need to get this sorted before the eye op.

Ideas please. Thank you..

5.5 this morning.
Arrived in Norwich 45 minutes earlier than I needed to as the A47 is closed all weekend

As we needed to do a magical mystery tour around winding narrow country lanes we allowed loads of time to get here. Journey went without a hitch so have been reading and drinking coffee and doing suduko. A very relaxing start to the day.

Morning all. @Madfarmerswife enjoy the well deserved weekend break. @Krystyna23040 the leisurely start sounds wonderful. @gennepher hug for the booking issue and concern over eye rubbing - I have no ideas except some kind of glove which may act as a reminder? Thank you for the bright and cheerful scarf kaleidoscope. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art again. The Jacques Brel song was very pleasant on the ears but the lyrics and exegesis went to some dark places as well. Enjoy the breakfast, market and especially time with TGIB. We are off to see a granddaughter in a ballet show then probably to buy some meat for tomorrow before I settle down for a weekend of sport. I almost certainly won't stay up to watch the Superbowl but I would like the Eagles to win. Enjoy all or at least some of your day.

Thank you Ian and for your suggestion...

Love the laboscope image. Looks like a very attractive plate.

I tend to rub my eyes as well first thing - actually can't get them open without. Do you have a sleeping mask? As Ian suggested, gloves might help to remind you but you would need to make sure they didn't leave fluff behind if you did rub your eyes with them. Anything that would be a barrier would make sure you couldn't touch your eyes until you remember not to.
