What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Thanks, I took on your suffix of "grump" as the snow floored me yesterday, so I did some weights instead at a low level. I am happy with the number as I forgot to add the bowl of berries and should I admit this....I went back to the cupboard and had more nuts.
Hope the extras compensated for the fall,and are you ok! K

@ianpspurs

Moving to LCHF / Keto / IF has enabled me to stuff in the calories and get lean; if I had done it this way in the first place I would have saved at least a year, fat adaptation was key, undoing all of the propaganda, and understanding carbs equate to sugar. As my control is good, I know if I decline a little, I can just adjust my indulgent eating.

That is a stellar answer you are such a generous person - thank you. Clearly a good base for yourself so I can probably extrapolate from there.

Morning...late posting...distracted by the 'old lady' I encountered in the mirror this morning (me)...now she has had some attention...ready for my day...swathed in layers of clothing...walking boots...huge scarf & woolly hat...ready for Harrys daily walk...fresh snow overnight...but not snowing at the moment...so need to make the most of that...woke to a flat 5.00.
Take care Bubbsie and watch for Harry's belly freezing,our Louie hasn't ventured out much neither have I but we're off to Costco to stock up on a few essentials so I'll need to wrap up! K

Good morning all. Blood sugars were 5.1 this morning.

@dogslife -- Good luck with your MRI. Hope they find a way to help you with your back pain.
Thank you, ziggy. Will be setting off soon as I have to travel to a hospital I have not been to before and will have to allow time to find it, park and get something suitable to eat before my appointment. I am also planning to take something for the pain about an hour beforehand as I have to lie still for quite a while in the scanner. Will be glad when its done but am grateful that I can have it if you understand my meaning. Thanks again.:)

@Glenmac just finished off the fudge cake now on the rose wine feet up on cushion on settee over done time on feet this afternoon,but only done around 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours in all but I've no dressings on no support and the hole in leg makes it feel unstable and very sore on outer edge where most of the pressure when standing is.
They say it can take 12 months for it to completely heal but it won't fill in I will always have a dent in my leg,but it should look hopefully better than it does now,it resembles a red crater just to outer side of my lower leg near calf, but it's better than the alternatives I think! K

I watched a TV program a couple of years ago and the answer is because it's a rare occurrence for us to get this type of weather it's not worth the investment to keep everything running, ok for food thanks, if the worse comes to the worse I've got goldfish in the garden big enough for a fish supper lol

Hello there, Granny_grump. Just as you say its done now and it only took 1/2 the time they initially told me it would. I arrived at the hospital early and there was no-one else there so they took me straight in. It meant we have been able to drive home earlier than we thought and before the expected snow storm arrived, leaving time to go and check on mum before bedtime. I have been in pain all day despite pain killers and the table I lay on inside the scan got quite warm which was actually soothing! No idea how long the results will take. They will be sent to the consultant who referred me for the MRI scan and he will contact me. Thanks again for thinking of me--much appreciated.:) Keep up the celebrations this weekend!!
