What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

good morning all :)

4.3 today

it's just currently doing a steady few snow flakes here this morning and we've had about half an inch overnight so we will be doing some more snow shoveling today to try to extricate the car in case the weather stays fairly steady.

We didn't bother with the car yesterday because there was nowhere to go ;) but the local farmers have been doing sterling work with their tractors with buckets on them and cleared the main village roads. So today we'll probably try to get out to visit mr. gee's mum if we can, we had stocked her up well on Tuesday and we know she is ok because we speak on the phone several times a day but we'll feel happier if we can replenish her indoor fuel stock for the woodburner and if there is no bread to be had we'll bake her a loaf in our breadmaker.

Stay safe everyone.

8.6 for me. I’m new to this game. Was diagnosed about 18 months ago. Went into denial and ignored it (I know. Stupid thing to do) but realised it’s about time I worked on control and stopped behaving like a child.

Onwards and upwards ....or downward in the case of my readings

Morning all. 7.1 at 8am. MRI scan done. Just got to wait for the results. Looks like a day for staying in where its warm if you can today. Have a good weekend folks whatever you are planning to do. :)

Morning...no snow (yet) just listening to the drip drip drip of the snow melting on the roof...irritating but at least it means things have warmed up a little...ventured out to clear the snow off the car...then a walk with Harry...doing nothing else today...feet up...heating on...then rubbish TV...relaxing...woke to a 5.00

Hi dogslife glad you've survived the MRI scanner, how was it? K

Hi mines 15.7 this morning. What do I do? Was supposed to see endocrinologist on Wednesday to discuss possibility of starting insulin. It was cancelled because I couldn’t get there because of the snow. It’s been re-arranged in 2 weeks. Is that too long to wait, should I speak to GP?
Feel ok but really thirsty.
Only just seen this TBC...that is high...wondering if its as a result of what you may have just eaten...the meter testing will give you a spot check (as you probably know already)...what are your BGs generally...you can check that on your meter...should give you an average of the last 7 days...the last 14 and so on...anytime you are concerned about your levels when they are high...ring your surgery...they can speak to you on the phone if nothing else...I would err on the side of caution...speak to your GP...if you are really worried...you can call 111 get some advice...wondering what your routine is with diet & activity...that's if you are mobile & able to be active...whether you have additional health issues with/apart from the diabetes...15.5 is high...however I've know a lot higher...how has you general control been...a lot of questions there...however...it may help members make suggestions...offer appropriate advice if they knew a little more...anytime you are concerned don't hesitate to get advice...so much better to be safe than sorry...keep us updated.
