What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

The mighty and terrible god of internet typos. The mysterious and all-knowing overlord of the Twitter trolls, and Pepe is his prophet. On this the 30th day of May, he was summoned by the orange king to begin his reign of terror over the lawless wasteland of cyberspace. And it shall be that no blogger, no profile, no Twitter egg shall know peace in the hereafter until they have bowed in reverence and fear at the glorious might of Covfefe. from https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=covfefe.

It truly shows how little I know when I had to use Mr G to find the meaning/non-meaning of this. My head has expanded, shocking!! I think I was happier living in ignorance

Morning all. 6.8 at 9.20 am today. Yeh! below 7.:happy: Different eating habits yesterday. Early breakfast/ lunch due to lunch time hospital visit. Very naughty and unusual binge on crisps and 2x Mr. Kipling's cakes late afternoon due to stress/ ravenous hunger :angelic: then a carb-free snack at normal tea time. No supper. Late to bed and late testing this morning. Maybe 4 small meals a day are better for me than the normal 3? (without that naughty high sugar/ carb snack of course which probably caused a spike!:arghh:). Have a good Friday one and all. :)

Never tried flax seeds so that's on my list, especially if it can help build a cheesecake. Adding chia seeds will be easy enough as I'm eating plenty of salads.

Many thanks
I make the diet doctor seed crackers......recipe on Diet Doctor website.I often substitute some ingredients for chopped nuts.The crackers include a variety of seeds including chia.If I need a treat I coat some biscuits when cold with 80% melted dark chocolate.The result is a chocolate digestive taste!Ive used flax seeds in this recipe quite often.

Can you share the recipe?
@Goonergal
My wife doesn't know exact amounts partly because we have made ramekin size just for me and family size. Big base is about 200 grams flaxseed and about 60 gms butter. Topping is tub of cream cheese and approx 200 gms fage or similar yogurt. few dropos of liquid sucralose and vanilla essence.
For the base is easy just melt butter and add to ground flaxseeds. For topping whisk Fage yogurt and cream cheese, liquid sucralose and vanilla, refrigerate, top with fruit ( I use raspberries or blueberries) and serve with lots of cream. My family like this better than any other cheesecake.

Thankyou.......your good wishes worked.The X-rays showed everything is progressing well,and the consultant was really pleased,so no operation needed!Ive now got a walking frame and am allowed to use my toes a little,plus a new lighter cast and a boot.
Everyone at the hospital, physios,porters,nurses, were just wonderful and kind,thank God for the NHS.
We could have had a party at 4.30am,I was awake too....couldn't take all the excitement!
At 4.30 BS 6.2
@Glenmac Fabulous news so very pleased for you,you'll soon be up and about! But watch out for those onion skins ,Lethal!!K
Just realised I'm drinking coffee been up since 5 am and not tested BG Woops! K

5.3 this morning after seeing to dogs and chickens because I was later doing the "livestock" rounds. Baby beast is a bundle of laughs, not. 2 days of 1 meal and less than 20 gms carbs, approx 28/29 hrs apart haven't seemingly impacted fbg positively but my ego/machismo is boosted! Also exactly same as last thing at night which is very unusual so lots to analyse/absorb and use going forward (that phrase always made me laugh when used in Senior managers meetings)
