Not a gent if he snaffles your choc. I wouldn't bother with anything diabetic, the name itself increases the price. I buy Aldi 85% dark choc or Montezuma's Absolute Black or if I'm feeling flush,Hotel Chocolat, 100% choc buttonsI’m just thinking a student gave me diabetic chocolate as an end of year gift one year. I never got to eat it as I went to Canada the following morning. On my return the gent who is now my hubby had eaten it all. Was it any good carb wise and is it still available ?
@SueJB we made our own version which we use for putting in a chocolate sponge filled with loads of cream and jar of cherries from Lidl which is now my birthday treat of choice. From this we knew the ganache goes hard left in the fridge long enough. Good luck with the Easter egg production.I looked at the video for the ganache... it looked soft
Might look at their factory shop for these as it is nearbyHotel Chocolat, 100% choc buttons
Hi @SueJB I agree but if cream is added would it not make it more mousse like, I like the idea of trying this it's easy and quick to do,so are other suggestions people have made geefulls mug cakes, ziggy chocolate bars and ianpspurs chocolate ganache all worth trying, the proof of the pudding and all that! KI looked at the video for the ganache... it looked soft
@Granny_grump_ tradition/heritage is a big part of my life. My house is built on my grandparents land and I see their house every day so constant reminder.@ianpspurs,you seem to have had a lovey childhood and carrying on the tradition is a great idea! K
very important for good wine too@Granny_grump_ tradition/heritage is a big part of my life. My house is built on my grandparents land and I see their house every day so constant reminder.
My grandmother was also my first teacher so never going to forget that.
Edit:
The French idea of terroir is really important to me.
Long conversations with folks at St Emilion and Pomerol about this and also Cahor - not been to Argentina (Malbec reference - love the stuff)very important for good wine too
