What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hi @Granny_grump_,

You've really seen a lot of the world. We are so fortunate in Europe in that it is a relatively small place and so diverse. I've lived in the U.S. for 17 years and it will take a long time to get to other places -- we actually had to drive for about 6 hours to get to the next city of similar size.

I think virtually everyone who goes to Egypt ends up with a tummy bug. I spent about one day getting over it. I assume you get it once and then you are immune to it -- that's at least my experience.

Nuts whole hazelnuts ooh Cadbury’s take them and they cover them in chocolate

good morning all

4.3 today

quite pleased because I ate a lot yesterday, thankfully I managed to keep the carbs reasonably controlled and just about under 80g. I also managed to not notice that the butter mountain in the fridge had become a molehill and butter is not currently on the menu, shocking I know !
Shopping required today obviously

Morning all. Was expecting a really high result this morning after being told that the steroid injection would raise my blood sugar levels aaaaaaaand eating a chocolate biscuit, packet of crisps and a ( albeit minute) portion of fried fish/ chips yesterday ( comfort/ convenience eating ). Tested at 9.20am with a 6.4!! My lowest fbs for months. It's a mystery. Have a great weekend one and all.

Now that is offensive! ( joke!)

I need a translator sometimes to understand what my youngest is talking about - so many abbrevs ( even abbreviation is abbreviated!)
@DJC3 I guess there were/are times when you are lit and we oldies ain't woke- I've been told that bear times. yes I remember the CDM song and award and spangles and thruppenny bits - (@alf_Josiah hehehehe™, not just the rhyming slang ones!) they bought a Milkway back in the day
I now have an image of you, DJC3 , having urban dictionary open all day just to talk to your son

Is Teetu, the God of T2 diabetes playing jokes upon his worshipers this past week.

Many have noticed a rise in bg levels in the morning bloodletting, yet eat something sinful, and worryabouttheimpending rise in bg, only to breathe a sigh of relief as bg is lower than the morning result.

Or is it just the change in weather?

It is my custom to test again after 4 hours as some foods/meals have a delayed spike and also have a nasty kickback next day. Them's my onions anyhow
