What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@ziggy_w We went to Egypt a few years ago for our anniversary it was 94deg at night far too hot for us,hubby had a bad stomach whilst their needed a doctor so we won't be going back their,it's usually me who gets the tummy bugs.
We've done Amsterdam got a lovely diamond ring from their, went to Brussels and bought their wonderful Belgium chocolate and whilst crossing the square a circus elephant got a smell of it and was following me with its trunk wavering about, unknown to me it came up from behind me! Of course everyone around the square found it hilarious I just got the shock of my life ! But it was funny looking back now, not been to Paris done most of Italy and the lakes and islands,Hersonasis in Greece,Yugoslavia, Germany Bulgaria Costa Brava New York Turkey and some I cannot remember them all lots of traveling over the years.
Enjoyed most of them really love Italy and we are looking to see Rome again maybe next year but it's so expensive but that's Italy for you.But their is just something about Spain we love be it the sea or the city or the mountains so much to see and do,and it's only 2 hours or so on the plane suits us now!Hope you manage to find a place to rent where you can take your cat I'm sure online we've seen pets welcome on some properties, but enjoy wherever you go and chill along with us! Lovely talking with you look after each other, best wishes. Kathleen x

Hi @Granny_grump_,

You've really seen a lot of the world. We are so fortunate in Europe in that it is a relatively small place and so diverse. I've lived in the U.S. for 17 years and it will take a long time to get to other places -- we actually had to drive for about 6 hours to get to the next city of similar size.

I think virtually everyone who goes to Egypt ends up with a tummy bug. I spent about one day getting over it. I assume you get it once and then you are immune to it -- that's at least my experience.

good morning all :)

4.3 today

quite pleased because I ate a lot yesterday, thankfully I managed to keep the carbs reasonably controlled and just about under 80g. I also managed to not notice that the butter mountain in the fridge had become a molehill and butter is not currently on the menu, shocking I know :sorry: !
Shopping required today obviously :)

Morning all. Was expecting a really high result this morning after being told that the steroid injection would raise my blood sugar levels aaaaaaaand eating a chocolate biscuit, packet of crisps and a ( albeit minute) portion of fried fish/ chips yesterday ( comfort/ convenience eating :angelic:). Tested at 9.20am with a 6.4!! My lowest fbs for months. It's a mystery. Have a great weekend one and all.:)

Now that is offensive! ( joke!)

I need a translator sometimes to understand what my youngest is talking about - so many abbrevs ( even abbreviation is abbreviated!)
@DJC3 I guess there were/are times when you are lit and we oldies ain't woke- I've been told that bear times.:banghead: yes I remember the CDM song and award and spangles and thruppenny bits - (@alf_Josiah hehehehe™, not just the rhyming slang ones!) they bought a Milkway back in the day
I now have an image of you, DJC3 , having urban dictionary open all day just to talk to your son:angelic:

Is Teetu, the God of T2 diabetes playing jokes upon his worshipers this past week.

Many have noticed a rise in bg levels in the morning bloodletting, yet eat something sinful, and worryabouttheimpending rise in bg, only to breathe a sigh of relief as bg is lower than the morning result.

Or is it just the change in weather?

It is my custom to test again after 4 hours as some foods/meals have a delayed spike and also have a nasty kickback next day. Them's my onions anyhow
