What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. An unremarkable 6.3 starts my week.
However, Monday is weigh-in day and there is now less rhubarb than there has been for decades:
89.9kg is 11.6kg down in 10 weeks.
It’s starts with an 8! Can’t remember when that last happened. 20 years maybe.

Well done rhubarb73

What a sunny start to the week here in Fenland. Weather forecast suggests no rain and no lower than 27 hereabouts until August 5th. I reckon that will be almost 2 months with no rain. My fbg is 5.3 which is no surprise after a disastrous experiment with courgette fritters - taste and spike wise. Other data is good - fitbit has my resting pulse back at 58 and I had target sleep hrs with minimal restless. Overall a decent start to the week with definitely 1 granddaughter by Thursday and the other already overdue.
Edit: Also part 1 of 2 for Nordic walking course Tuesday evening - have poles may walk Nordically in a fortnight. It is a real "thing" about here. A few groups and several people who Nordically walk with their dogs.

5.2 today. Happy with that. Meeting with a few ex work colleagues today. I've checked out the venue. It's a tapasy come Greeky place. Lots on the menu to choose from. Spoilt for choice in fact. Don't cha just love it when that happens!

A fine and feisty 5.6 for me this morning and I'm happy with that Me and my new meter (Cody Codefree) are coming to terms; he showed me last night that he does do readings that start with the number 4...

The homemade Baileys 'Strawberries & Cream' ice cream has now been consumed and I won't be making any more until the autumn (when it'll be Tomahawk 'Maple cream', pumpkin & pecan - yum). My 20g carb or less diet and daily fasting has been re-established, I'm back in ketosis and have decided to give my sore fingers some time off for good behaviour - the joys of taking anticoagulants... So I won't be posting here for a little while. Off to Flamborough Head for some sea air and to take some photos today. All the best everyone!

May I ask when one tests for FBG please. As soon as you wake up or later? Tested myself this morning after I got up and was 6.6 so disappointed as it’s been in the 4s and 5s for a while. Thanks

I usually test after my shower might start doing both before and after

6.0 at 9:45 also no rain here for maybe 46 days or more , this comming week will have temperatures higher than 30 degree celcius , I Think I’ll find my heating propella and switch it on to cold. I feel sad for all the farmers whos animals have to be slaugthered because of lack of food

4.8 today
Hi all hope you are ok about me joining you after deliberately not joining this thread for the last 11 months I feel it would be helpful for me to log in here. Fbg remains for me the most puzzling of all bg readings and seems to have a mind of its own but would like to join in with you all and your friendly chats.
Don’t know what others find but I find that in the heat the blood flows easier to take the morning reading - even got enough for a ketones reading out of my large drop of blood this morning! ( 2.0 for anyone interested so motoring along still on ketones)
Have a good Monday all enjoy
