What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.1 this morning.

Despite a rather stressful day yesterday, it didn't seem to be reflected in my level. The intermittent fasting many days (missing breakfast most mornings and not eating till noon) seems to be helping. The hardest part for me is not missing breakfast but not eating in the evening (a lifelong habit), I really emotionally crave food between 9 and 10 pm. I had a lovely homemade chicken stir fry last night with lots of vegetables and shritaki noodles for dinner, I always get good readings after that meal.

Good morning people, 5.0 this morning. Was 7.2 when I got home from work yesterday I had grilled lamb steak loadsa veg three or four little new potatoes and a gallon of gravy, forgot my meds (two mets) and I'm a 5 this morning. Happy but a little confounded. Going in to see the nurse on Friday pm, not a lot of confidence in her, got more advice and tips/help from being on here.
Have a good day all.

Morning all - very sunny yonder so looking good. Dogs and chickens sorted before 6 and 1 pint of tea in so all good there. fgb was 5.2 but that's only what the meter shows.

Good morning all.

@HarrisonK -- Glad to see you back.

Woke up and tested. Blood sugars were 5.4. Twenty minutes later before coffee, the test showed 4.8. If I had to guess, 4.8 was probably correct as I only had one meal yesterday and worked out 50 minutes on the elliptical trainer before bed.

Will be off to an appointment with my GP in an hour. This time, I want to make sure I know what tests he wants to have. Last time he sprang a couple of surprises on me. Don't do well with surprises, especially since I am already nervous anyway when I am there. Will also try for test strips, but dont hold out too much hope.

Hope everyone is doing well.
