What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Been away for a while due to the vagaries and tribulations of life, but today I felt that I had to do something normal, so... 5.8 this morning. Funny how I consider posting that 'normal'. :)

Welcome back @HarrisonK
Good fbg - Looks like you have kept your eye on the ball in your absence.

Good luck with the coffee experiment. I intended to do the same as I’ve a feeling it is affecting my blood pressure - sometimes it’s high sometimes low, doesn’t seem much rhyme or reason to it until I considered coffee consumption. It was very low all last year, when I spent a long time in hospital, but the coffee there was horrible so I wasn’t drinking any.

I have failed at the first hurdle though and just made a big mug of filter coffee with cream. Giving up coffee is going to be far harder then bread or pasta!
I can’t have caffeine due to tachycardia good thing I never liked coffee:D

5.8 today.
Have been reading the Tom Watson story in the Guardian- a high profile advocate of LCHF
He was just on Radio 4. Mentioned Dr Malhotra and said promoting public awareness of combating T2 diabetes would be a priority of any Labour Government, not just for better health, but also to lower spending on increasing costs of dealing with the condition.

I love it - we used to join in by making something to join in with each week’s theme ie biscuits on biscuit week, bread on bread week. Sadly don’t do that now but it’s still the only programme on tv I’d stay in for.
I’ll take the hug anyway, thanks.
I built a man cave on our old house just so I didn't have to be in the same room as that programme. I also point blank refused to sanction anything shown on there to be cooked in our house.

But how would you know if you didn’t watch it? Haha I bet there were some delicacies sneaked in!

There was obviously a very tense period whilst the cave was being built and sometimes Mrs P complained of mysterious power cuts when she was about to bake:angelic:

5.5 yesterday
5.4 today
5.3 tomorrow!!!???
It's gorgeous today, sun is shining. Went shopping yesterday. Dozen eggs of which 3 were cracked in transit! So a 3 egg omelette with cheese and cream this morning. Usually only 2 and that fills me! I can hardly move! Wasn't going to waste one lovely egg! For lunch....3 yoghurts just about to go out of date (I'm yolking of course.....those eggs are repeating on me haha).

I’m sure she found a way round it - Mrs P sounds like a very resourceful lady, and well used to your wily ways.

Of course - did you think I would have picked or stayed with any other type? She gave me us 3 big strong boys - gets a free pass (mostly) ever after:angelic:

Edited to reflect the facts
