What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.6 today. Up a little as a result of a girly night out at the local tapas bar which included 2 glasses of prosecco and a red wine (of the large variety!).

I have a dilemma. The lady I was dining with is my best and longest friend. Her daughter is getting married in the beautiful lake district in January. My first wedding in the lakes. Exciting. So last night she told me that the hen party is going to include an afternoon tea. My dilemma is do I go for it! Not hoovering everything up in front of me obviously. Has anyone had an afternoon tea as a treat and what effect did it have on your BS.

I realise we are all different but I'm just interested at this point.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

A friend shared her Christmas present of a cricket match ticket and cream tea with me, I had a couple of scones and an ENORMOUS portion of clotted cream (no jam). No big spike - more than usual but not concerning. I took one bite of Victoria sponge and spat it out as it tasted so sweet.

Very interesting.....and positive! :-)

Morning all. 4.9 @ 5.15 so I assume may have been lower on first waking @ 4.09. If I could organise myself to go to sleep early enough I could use this morning time better and I can't help feeling the decent number is more than wiped out by not enough sleep.
2 more Ember Days today and tomorrow - may not fast in the traditional way. Does anyone else actually do this?

Good morning all. 5.6 today. Still sticking to the keto diet (actualy 29g carbs yesterday). But obviously not in ketosis. Yesterday was 1350 cals and 12 mile walk. Thats should be enough, one would think. Anyway keep to the weight goals, and decide then.
Hope everyone is well, your BG align with expectations. Have a great Friday.
