What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning, folks. Autumn is finally here -- wet and much cooler. Can't complain, though, as we had the summer of the century.

Fasting blood sugars today were 4.8.

It's wonderful that you are finally feeling a bit better, @Ziggy2017. Hope the upward trend continues and your cough continues to improve.
 
A disappointing 6.5 this morning but .... good girl points for losing 2 more kg and I’ve had my flu jab and I had my bloods taken - just 4 test tubes.
My hba1c has reduced from 10.8 November last year to 9.2 to 7.1 to 6.8. Shall I open a sweepstake for what it might be thus time? I’m hoping for below 6.5

5.3 this morning. Best not test for a few hours - another stressful morning ahead of trying to get gig tickets! Little mix this time - my daughters request for her first ever gig, so no pressure!

5.5 today.

Trying to stay really focused as I got my DN appointment through for 16th Nov. I keep knocking that evil little fellow off my left shoulder! The one that whispers 'oh go on one wont do you any harm'. That said the one on the right can be just as bad sometimes!

Good low carb day yesterday. Had a fab breaky at the local Sainsburys which included halloumi cheese, bacon, sausage (just 1) 2 fried eggs and a mushroom. Needed a bigger breaky to maintain weight. Great excuse for a slap up! Half a can of soup for lunch. Green beans and Bolognese sauce laced with garlic and chilli for dinner. Glass of wine and peanuts. Happy with that.

Weather getting a bit cooler. Windy. I've picked today to paint outside, don't ask me why!

4.2 st 5.30 a.m. drank 0.5 ltr water and out for ,8 km run no food. 0630 am bloods 7.5.
phil it might be worth just having just a little something to eat before you do any 'real' physical activity...without any food most likely your liver pumped out some glycogen to help fuel your body during your run...hence the higher BG levels...worth a try.
 
6.7 Wednesday morning. I assume it's the popcorn I had for a bedtime snack last night. I only had it because the night before it hadn't spiked my BG but among the things I'm learning about T2 is that there is a consistency of inconsistencies.
