What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. 6.6 at 0745. Wish I could get back to better FBG. I dont think I could do fasting. The only option which could help would be not eating supper but its not really something that sits well with me. I am back in Kent next week so thats my chance to shake up my routine.
@karen8967 sorry about the hypos, same to others.
@Terrytiddy you have been so strong dont know how you do it.
Have a good day everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

phil it might be worth just having just a little something to eat before you do any 'real' physical activity...without any food most likely your liver pumped out some glycogen to help fuel your body during your run...hence the higher BG levels...worth a try.
I certainly find this to be the case. Most times at least. I've found eating as soon as I get up helps, most times ....sorry If this sounds in any way vague but I've also found there are exceptions.

5.8 today, higher but expected as I succumbed to 4 small pieces of 85% choccy with my late night coffee and cream. Only got myself to blame haha. It was delish! #noregrets

Kippers for breaky. Painting. Meeting daughter and grandaughter for lunch. And some paperwork. Busy day.

Have a good day every one.

Morning all. 7.7 at 8.30am. Can't seem to get my fbs below 7. My recent/ last HbA1c was in the normal range and there has been no major changes in what I eat. "It's a mystery". Off soon to do our voluntary work at our local luncheon club. Have a good day everyone.:)

Update
The mystery continues. 3 hours after lunch provided by the Luncheon Club where I'm a volunteer ( 1x slice of beef, cauliflower and small potato & gravy) I started with familiar hypo symptoms so gobbled an almond cake to ward off the pending shakes then tested at 3.3 so must have been even lower before the cake.:( Ate a few jelly babies and felt better. Didn't retest as I'm low on strips and symptoms had subsided. Ate toasted cheese for tea and took my Metformin but omitted my Gliclazide as it can cause hypos. Will be interesting to see what tomorrow's fbs will be.

No result today. Removed my lancet cartridge, and reached for a replacement, only to realise I'd thrown the whole packet out by mistake. Couldn't find anything else sharp to draw blood with! Facepalm.

Nothing to do with this thread except in so far as many of my posts are a tad doom laden. I just saw 2 green woodpeckers very close to my patio doors. In 63 years I have never seen one and was amazed when google came up with an answer. See. I can do pleasure:angelic:

So following my weigh in .. I lost 2 kg.. my next weigh in is Dec 19 and my hba1c bloods and my bazillion other tests
. Last night was treat night curry with All the toys and 2 cobra on top ( as an aside I don’t usually drink ) tea is my usual tipple of choice.. I took a little more abasaglar and I was 5.5 this morning .. go me. Back on the trail tomorrow.

Morning everyone. For prick and tell today I have brought along a 5.3. Bit of cognitive dissonance going on here. Plenty of evidence suggests this technology can only produce a ballpark figure BUT I still dislike that number slightly pushing up the running average. I also know there is always quite a difference between my running average and hba1c - (between -.4 and +.7) but I still care.
Bad enough for a type 2 must be a nightmare for a type 1.

A like simply for the phrase prick and tell... #borderlinegenius
