What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning fellow prick and tellers. 5.1 is the accurate looking effort today - not comforting to research the reliability of that number. Still suffering from major information overload caused by reading the cholesterol/statins thread and following up some of the leads. Can't work out which one of the pro and anti lobbies are trying to harm me most. Then I wander into a post giving ideas about radically shifting this WOE and supercharging results - looks attractive but just know it would all end horribly wrong for me. This sure is a dangerous environment for folk like me to be left unsupervised.
@Chronicle_Cat big hug and hope mum can be helped, @Emma_369 enjoy your week off. @everyone else please accept my apologies for existing.

Good morning all. 6.1 today. Cool and bright here, long walk on the cards.
Long sleep last night, so feeling good. Considering having a few days off the coffee, but starting tomorrow;)
Voting here today for president, looks like the incumbent will walk it with 66% In the polls. The others are mostly business leaders ( dragons den types ). Second vote on removing blasphemy from the constitution ( last prosecution was in 1860 ! )
@Chronicle_Cat hugs for what your mum is going through.
Hope everyone is ok, you BG is right as rain. Have a great Friday

Morning @ianspur, assume both are trying to harm you. You know the intertweb is a dangerous thing once you start looking at fascinating stuff. Before you know it you’ll be watching a you tube video on how to teach. Giraffe mandarin !

Oh my now I have an acute attack of confirmation bias:banghead: The only thing I know for sure is both sides could definitely be wrong. The youtube video is great until 3:41, clearly not how you say phenomenology:angelic:

Morning all
4.8 this morning
@Chronicle_Cat not an easy situation do take care of yourself
@Emma_369 enjoy time off
@ianpspurs did you watch the horizon programme last night on vitamin supplements? there are so many ‘scientific’ theories out there being challenged that one was about antioxidants and how important they are - especially the dangers of over supplementation. we are very much at the ‘mercy’ of the knowledge that’s out there ( like the cholesterol etc etc) and what we thought was the truth is not necessarily so! i think we need to find what works for us re our bgs and general well being and is enjoyable and sustainable - meanwhile I’m giving up the vitamin supplements especially as I now eat more widely and three meals a Day! Introduced them when fasting and eating very little and don’t imagine I need them now.

Wow this thread is busy, 300+ posts this week.
Greetings from Hannover.
I have no idea of my BS cos I left my test kit on a plane and I’m Libreless this week but I’ve just run 4 miles (slowly) before breakfast so I guess it’s low ..... but it’s liver dump time so it could be anywhere between 6 and 13

Morning All. 6.4 at 0800. Back to Kent tomorrow for last week of post chemo aid. But new bone infusions start in January but in London so may need to be involved with that. Anyway, am going to try and use the time wisely this comng week to improve my BG.
Have a great Friday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.
@ianpspurs did you not like my reply re woodpeckers? Obs the foil trays were removed once the drilling stopped and no creatures were harmed (except son who was like a bear with a sore head while it was happening)!

@Chronicle_Cat sorry to hear about your mum. Hope they can make her comfortable. So difficult for you.
@shelley262 I also watched the prog re supplements. I have always thought that there were a lot of unscruplous marketing of supplements which is why I tend to buy Solgar a brand I trust. But this case was one of the leading marketing brands too. I am going to continue with my Bvits but do wonder where I can get my vit C. I am finding it so hard this time of year avoiding clementines. This time last year I was eating 4-6 a day!

@PenguinMum I am always amazed at just how much you are prepared to help your friend. I did like your post but that all came whilst I was thoroughly distracted and confused by just who was lying to me over cholesterol ans statins.
@shelley262 I didn't watch that programme but may well look for it - bit like wiggling a loose tooth or something. Perhaps they should just say we really don't know just guess- no one gets out of this alive anyhow:banghead:
