What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I've been eating very badly (and yummily) for 5 days now. Hadn't planned to but finally I just said, oh, enjoy but quit at midnight Monday night.

At least the ice cream and brownies are low-carb and the pizza will be too.
We are only human. Only 2 days to go

Morning all. It’s 4.9 for me today. Just summoning up the will to go to the gym - absence has been too long and not going is a much easier habit to stick to! Have a good day all.
I was thinking about gyms yesterday when I was cutting up wood for the fire - it felt like a bit of a work out. I quite like the idea and was a member of one for some years but I could never get motivated in anything other than a class. I would go to yoga 3 times a week and that gave a great all over fitness - and state of mind. The timing now never seems to fit in to my lifestyle so I try to just do active things . A morning walk for coffee along the beach of a few miles , cycling to the shop for the smallest thing I can think of to get me out everyday on the bike, and generally moving around getting things done . I'm rambling a bit, but the gym sounds so, so, civilised , one day, maybe when I've everything done here I may join again. Hey -ho 5.4 for me this Sunday morning..... Best thoughts for the day all...

Morning...another night out celebrating had fun & of course my favourite lots of laughing...later 'phat boy' and I are off up the motorway to London...more celebrating (what can you do!)...looking forward to seeing old friends I only see 3-4 times a year...give the kids their Christmas presents over lunch... meeting more friends for dinner...then home back to normality...after last nights feast amazingly woke to a 5.5

Good morning all
5.7 this am another in a run of high ones for me - it’s not bad food choices as very low carb again over past few days it’s simply stress I think so I’m bringing out the stress management tools again today and hoping for some more level days.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday - I’ve got an online food delivery later but I’m also determined to do a very long walk in the forest - I believe from something I read that the Japanese call walking in the forest ‘ forest bathing ‘ for its calming experience and I always find it helpful. We are very very lucky as although we don’t have the sea nearby like some of you such as @OrsonKartt - whose morning beach walks for coffee I envy - but a very large forest starts 2 mins from our house. I take a flask of coffee with me and perch on a tree trunk !

I'd love that number in the morning lol but my numbers are coming down now , we live on the north east coast of the UK , we are five minute drive to the seaside and only ten minute drive to the countryside . We walk along the sea front every night , love the sound of the waves crashing its so relaxing , walking in the woods would I imagine be rather muddy at the moment , need to put my wellies on lol . Have a great Sunday and enjoy your walk .

Thank you I agree my numbers are fine just high for me but not concerned with them per se, they just show I’m a bit out of my normal balance for what I’m eating at the moment. Mud is the order of Day in forest at this time of year - washing machine will be needed and my trusted walking boots have more mud than leather on them! Love the sea and envy your nightly walk but the waterfalls in forest are good too to add in some calming water noises and they are fast flowing just now. Have a good day hope your no’s carry on coming down sounds like you’re working hard at it. Funny business the bg no’s etc its all very individual even though we record on here!

Just goes to show the previous work put in still delivers a very good number.

Morning All. 6.3 at 08.30. Never thought I would be glad to see a 6 again. Yesterday all I ate was one slice of hilo toast and a cauliflower bhajee in the evening. I will try to get out walking in the next couple days. Thanks for the inspiration @shelley and I hope life calms down for you. Have to cook yet another big roast today as last day with the boys.
Have a great Sunday everyone. Stay well and safe.

Morning all. Up again to 8.1. No proper meals yesterday just bits and bobs of snacks on the go including some carby ingredients. Really hungry and an uncomfortable tum this morning. At home all day today so should have more control over what I eat. Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks.

Morning everyone still not at my best with this cough but trying to get on with it I will be staying inside until it goes away. Anyway today’s blood sugar is 4.6 (libre as the battery’s on my accu check have run out) have a good Sunday everyone

good morning all

4.3 today

well, it was 3.8 when I first tested but I rewashed my hands and tested again. I have had readings a touch below 4 before and it doesn't make me feel odd so I usually just assume it's within the margin of error and have a few berries and follow up with some cheese to be on the safe side

It's still mild here and the wind has mostly dropped so, although it looks a bit wet, I'll still hopefully get a walk with mum's wee dog later

Hope your day treats you well

I’m with you on the generally being active bit and that’s the foundation for me. So enjoy walking and just look for opportunities to fit it in wherever I can. I use the gym for weights - i.e. equipment and activity that I can’t do for free elsewhere and I do enjoy it once there! Am lucky to have joined a new gym when it opened and got a staggeringly cheap (especially for London) monthly rate of £12.99 so figure its worth holding onto, especially as the gym is open 24 hours so it fits in with my ridiculously early starts. And I did make it this morning....

Just goes to show the previous work put in still delivers a very good number.

Thanks for the encouragement. Can only aspire to your levels of activity.

Stress busting walk sounds like a brilliant idea @shelley262 enjoy - you deserve some quality relaxation time!
