What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.2 after a full day do and evening reception at a wonderful wedding in the Lake District. My best friends daughter. So I'm extremely happy with that result.

My bit of news today is that im in the Sunday Mirror national newspaper. Page 18. Loud and proud! Spreading the word.

Here is my social media post today, short and sweet as I'm still away from home enjoying the wedding celebrations.

The NHS are right behind low carb now. They are seeing the results. They are hearing our voices. Which are getting louder. They are giving patients the choice. Finally. I'm loving it. And I'm loving spreading the word. And I'm one of many doing this. Massive thanks to diabetes.co.uk PR team. Today I'm in a national Sunday newspaper! Sunday Mirror. And so is your photo Scott Somerside. I did ask them to give you a mention . anyway I'm thanking you once again . your photos are really helping. This app will save @£30 million but it's just the start. It will be a snowball effect .

Congrats on going national!! Fab work and hopefully will help so many people in realising they’re options!

Amazing thanks for doing all this

Well done @Debandez you are an unstoppable force for good!

I like all of that - maybe not Bowie so much
I would add Billy Joel, Crowded House, KT Tunstall, Fleetwood Mac, REM and Passenger- that would keep me going.
Hope the journey is going well.

Fleetwood Mac definitely!
In the end we listened to the radio until 1pm when Elaine Paige came on - a step too far for both of us - so put Jethro Tull albums on. Not a bad journey at all

@ianpspurs no Beatles or Elvis today but that means nothing.

We absolutely love Indian food. I am personally not interested in “the hotter the better” though some of my boys are. I love the aromatic aromaand taste. I cook usuallyy from Atul Kucher’sbook Simple Indian (I think he was the first Indian chef in UK to get a Michelin star) but I also like to tweak the spices to taste. If your SIL is South Indian I imagine its aromatic with a lot of coconut milk like Sri Lanka. Lucky you if he cooks for you.

If you could see the "big hill" I walked down yesterday you would laugh out loud.
This is what I was picturing originally for our downhill adventure:

For the sugar fix have you tried non-pastry sugar snacks? I'm T2 dx'd only last spring and I find that something like candy doesn't spike me like a cookie or pastry. But I also don't have lows I need to treat, and I've also learned that no two food tests are ever the same.

Or what about a few ounces of orange juice or other fruit juice? I'm not qualified to advise, just saying what has made me feel better quickly, and may not affect the weight as much as pastry would.

Just a thought ...

Oh, my goodness, now I've just had a Jethro Tull flash-waaaaay-back. Now I've got to go YouTube Thick As a Brick. Or "Rumours."

Oh yes! Both!
Thick as a brick is a real ear worm isn’t it?

Happy birthday, @dogslife. Hope you had a wonderful day celebrating.
