What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Back from the doctor.

Hba1c was 5.2, all my levels are good and the doctor was really pleased. I left her a lot of stuff about low carb and diabetes including from this site and diet doctor's guide for physicians and low carb.

Congratulations!

CONGRATULATION saskia....( Though with the 'loose tops' and 'playing pool' i did wonder if it was the opening scene to a 18+ type movie... )

fantastic achievement.

As i understood it, the scores SHOULD match these below.
i took the liberty of assuming docs mentioned the lowering without the 100 mg/dl

Both available on the HOME page as Converters.
Averagemmol
USconversionMG/DL

( I keep ONE bookmark on my browser, purely for the diabetes and associated recipes, posts, and in this case tools to use to understand the dynamics of what some of the blood tests, etc entail. )

Thanks, @jjraak .

That was the trailer for "Loose Tops in the Tower" -- a 55+ film "from the people who brought you 'Cats in the Corner Pocket'"

@SaskiaKC I have one for hba1c in both % (what Canadians and Americans use for hba1c, even though we use different numbering systems for blood glucose readings and the current British hba1c measuring system.

Hba1c is the two columns on the left. The farthest one on the left is % what we use and the old British system, next to it is the current British measures IFCC

The equivalent average blood glucose are the two columns on the right - mmol/L (British/Canadian) and mg/dL (American).

Here it is....
