Aww, ziggy_w, your fingers must have been like pin cushions after all that testing! I agree about the stress. Unlike yours though my levels are all above normal range. Best wishes.Good morning all. Woke up to a 4.6 today.
@Bubbsie and @PenguinMum -- Yes, I think quite a lot of us see numbers rise in the morning when we don't eat. For me, numbers usually drop after getting up, even if not by much.
The morning of the blood test, blood sugars were all over the place, which I putting down to stress.
4.8 mmol getting up
4.3 mmol arrving at GP's practice
5.1 mmol during the blood test 15 minutes later
3.7 mmol another 15 minutes later after leaving the practice
6.1 mmol after a further 30 minutes, where it then stayed a while.
Each time, I measured at least twice to confirm. I just find it really fascinating how sensitive our blood sugars are to stress.
Have a great day all.
Every get one of those days when one cheeky cat thinks it can shamelessly "Bagsy" your seat....

My husband is a Yorkshireman. I couldn’t understand a word he said when we first met so I just used to smile politely and hope he’d go away. However he took the smiles as sign of encouragement and thought ‘I’m in there’ - the rest is history!
(When he goes back to Yorkshire now they think he ‘talks posh’)
Yorkshire folk are always optimistic - especially about rhubarb and licoriceMade me laugh DJC...thank goodness for his optimism.

well done dear <3Morning all, haven’t been on this thread as much recently. Today was a 9.7 - I still struggle to get below 8/9 in the mornings.
Had my hba1c back yesterday and now 59 - down from 103. I know it’s still too high, but was very happy with how the insulin has clearly helped me
. Next stop is to get it down below the 48 mark!
Hope everyone is doing OK!
Yup still call it a boiler the plumber has just left after repairing ours as have had no hot water or heating for a few days. OK now though.Good morning all,
4.7 today.
Got the furnace repair man coming today as it isn't reaching the heat on thermostat and mornings are chilly inside and outside. Do you still call it a boiler in the UK? (Ours is forced air natural gas, only older homes with radiators use hot water heat here - I grew up with one of those, heated with oil.)

So sorry to hear you have only the beach and sunbathing to console you! Life can be oh so rough sometimes. I guess on a scale of 1 - 10 that should equal about a 6.7.![]()
