What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning all enjoying lower readings Monday - @DJC3, @PenguinMum, @Diabetic Vegan and @karen8967 to name but a few. 5.2 for me today, very, very beige indeed. Ate my OMAD late after seaside time with the tinies and pups so that could be a reason. Latest sensor seems to read higher - not one nighttime red zone. More likely to be very Ockham's Razor.

Morning all. 5.2 today - blimey!
No doubt my liver is still dealing with yesterday afternoon’s wine in the garden - very easy to drink that extra glass or 2.
Great result! I wouldnt look for reasons though thats a very pleasant suggestion.

Do I get the prize for top score today?
Lousy sleep and 8.2 on waking. Oh flip!

A 6 and a 7.9, from 2 meters. I don't get it. They both got new batteries on the same day very recently. I think they must not like sharing drawer space.
That's my theory anyway and I'm sticking to it. Until a better one comes along. Like my phone suddenly interrupting this post to try and take a picture of me doing it.

5.1
06:10
and there then followed a little experiment, n=1, so far.
I've always wanted some low carb to have with my morning coffee, 25 g of beans ground, filtered and black.
Cheesecake has been something I liked back in the day, though now the biscuit layer and general sweetness make it tricky. Came across Burnt Basque cheesecake. No biscuit layer, lots of cream cheese (mascapone), eggs and double cream with a shot of vanilla extract and some reduced sugar... Made one on Saturday, had two small slices on Sunday with coffee and fairly low this morning.
I fast till lunchtime normally but decided on a slice with coffee at 10:30.
09:00 5.3
10:00 5.5
10:30 4.8 coffee and slice 73 g Basque
11:00 6.0
11:30 6.1
12:30 5.3
Lunch: sardines, stick of celery and some red Leicester.
18:30 4.2 (typo edited!)
Need to repeat and reduce the sugar some more... it was sweet....

4.9 yesterday
5.5 today - slightly higher as meal out last night, steak, salad with parmasan and a peppercorn sauce. 3 glasses of red wine (yes 3 but over 4 hours) watching the sun set from our restaurant. It could have been Puerto Banus but it was actually Costa del Blackpool.
