What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

8.2 despite the low carb intake yesterday. Not unduly bothered.
Hoping it was a blip as I haven’t yet worked out how to take BG reading before putting a foot on the floor, but washing hands first, when it is 25 paces to the bathroom, and I haven’t quite mastered the art of yogic flying.
Ah well. Still aiming for high 5s by middle of month. :)

7.4 - Hurrah! This has been achieved after a Christmas week of extravagancies, resulting in high 8s and a couple of double figures, sprinkled amongst them for good measure. I’ve learnt to accepts that 1) This will happen and 2) I’ve got enough of a “working” EndoSys to be able to pull back from the brink. Well, I hope this is the case.

Have a restful Sunday.

4.7 today. Back to the normal-for-me range, which is nice. Though it would be lovely if I could work out why I'd been running a bit high the last few days. Oh well, no one ever claimed science was easy :bookworm:

Happy 10th Day of Christmas, everyone. We have snow outside, with -1 degree C, and an FBG of 11.5 inside after being not very well yesterday.

Will be having carb free lunch.
Sprouts, asparagus, leeks, mushroom, cara nero cabbage, pak choi all gently sauteed in olive oil and kerrygold grass fed butter. Live sourkraut
By "carb free" do you mean just without grain, flour, potatoes etc? Imo there are carbs in every food on your list except for the olive oil and the butter. (And even some brands of butter do contain a smallish amount of carbs).
Never mind, congratulations on your heroic and successful fast.

These could solve your problem. I bought some long ago for testing in the open air. The seller was extremely nice and helpful when I contacted him with a query. NB these do not contain alcohol, which seemingly may raise bg.

Thank you.
Just wondered what others do for first test in morning? Get up to Wash hands, use wipe, or not worry and just test.
Though perhaps need to start a new thread to explore this.
