What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Somehow I managed the lowest FBG for ages with a 6.1 . I went out last night and 11 pm had a takeaway high carb meal ! Yet on Saturday I low carbed and walked for 6 miles and got 7.9 . Maybe this morning's reading was a delayed reaction lol either way happy with it .

7.4 this morning, but also 7.4 after breakfast.

Been doing really well (5-6 mM for more than a week consistently) so got pretty miffed at high readings all yesterday for no apparent reason.

This morning I clearly have a cold. Interesting that my monitoring spotted it before the symptoms started.

My meter gave me a red flag for a reading of 4.4 mM - hypoglycemic. I was a bit confused by this. Is 4.4, 4.3 OK or not?
Clinicaly 3.9 or below can be considered as hypoglycemic but many people feel fine with such numbers 4.0 and above would be fine for most.
It can also depend where you have the limits set on your meter as to when you get a red flag.

8.8!
Starting new medication this morning so fingers crossed that by tomorrow the BG starts coming down.
BTW how do you avoid the Dawn Phenomenon? Do you take you FBG before you get out of bed? I find that hard to do and the least I do is sit up, swing my legs out of bed and put my glasses on! Would that trigger it?
