What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.2 yesterday.
6.3 this morning. The Mimi dachs decided to take herself for a walk when I let her out for a pee. So had to chase after her as we are at daughters place and they live rurally. Of course being a mini Dachshund she has a mind of her own when she escapes.

6.1 - BIG treats: Cherries, Strawberries, Ciabatta, Magnum . . surprised it aint higher. Also, down from yesterday's 6.6, I'll regard this as a major win for Team-Estragon, much more than Team-BazBall. I've run out of expletives for our Ashes performance.

Good morning, peeps. A boringly average 6.3 for me today, despite closing my exercise rings twice over yesterday with a walk and a swim. Late dinner and a stressful entanglement with a beeping smoke alarm and a dodgy battery all part of life’s rich tapestry.

Have a good Sunday

Really impressed with your control. :D Do you use a CGM? A friend I know who is a T1 really looks after himself but because he has such good control
he has been refused a CGM. Don't really get that at all.

Yes I use I do, I was originally on FreeStyle libre 2, but since swapping to Dexcom find it a lot better. For me I’ve just found a variety of foods that I like, and with the right dosing don’t spike my blood sugars massively, I seem to be extremely sensitive to insulin. I can turn a fast rise double arrow round to a fast drop, just through 5 mins of intense running on my treadmill.
Yes your right it’s a postcode lottery for tech. When first diagnosed my bloods were up in the 14’s for a good month till I got a handle on how it all worked. I ignored my endo nurse and found what worked for me.

Morning all. Have had a painful infection in my eye and think that has affected my bg. I have some work to do, bedtime 8.7 and this morning 8.6! Not feeling too great today but it will go. My son is coming from USA next Thursday for a month so that's brilliant news. Have a happy day folks. :joyful:
A hug for eye infection and of course that will impact on your numbers ..hope you have a lovely time with your son .

Morning All (just). 7.7 am so fed up with DP so I had my tea and toast and 2 hours later it was 7.2 which just proves again that I need to have breakfast to stop it in its tracks and cheer myself up! Going to test every 2 hours today to get the big picture.
@RosemaryJackson glad the eye feels better but maybe ring surgery so you will be tiptop in time for son’s visit. Happy Sunday all.
