Morning all. 5.1 here which is adequate but top end of what I like. Libre acting as a CGM shows up DP/FOF (foot on floor) 5.6 by the time I'd dressed, gone down, emptied dishwasher, made tea and sorted the dogs. Thoughts and prayers with you all especially @Mini Dachs Mum today.
Edit: 5.4 by 8.30 - DP/FOF may not always be "a thing"

Morning!
5.3 this morning. Mop fair is setting up in town. 58 and still find it exciting!
Also now trying out a libre and finally managed to get it to scan - I am borrowing my brother-in-laws old iphone - had a 4.8 on that but 5.3 on waking
Going to be interesting!

Morning all. Another 5.5 from the Libre here - when I first looked. Signing up to allow Abbott to use my data for research seems to have given me continuous readings when my phone is close. Some fascinating insights into what is happening with bg. Welcome @Sarah*86
I have also just signed my data away for a couple of weeks and yes, it is very interesting. I got one as we are going on holiday and though t it would be easier although my phone is no longer compatible and I am borrowing an old one from brother in law

Interesting how the levels after a shower rise and stay there for a good while. Not water as I cover mine with Tegaderm film. I did know this but it is much more obvious. Hope the experience is useful for you.

Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...

It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.

I'll start.

This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me

What about you?
I suffer from both brittle diabetes and Dawn phenomenon. Mine was 12.9 at 9:00 this morning but hit about 16 at 3am and 4.5 at 6;00. Despite many chats with my nursing specialist they haven’t helped. It's not a simple matter of raising my basal as that can result in hypos. For the past 3 weeks ive been on 72units of Toujeo until this week when.my fasting sugars got worse
Im now on 75 and waiting to see what happens. Daytime sugars are ideal plus I don't snack before I go to bed. Glad to see many of you have perfect blood sugars and wonder if that's just "normal" for you or whether you need to put in place special management like I do. More important to me is what others with daen phenomenon do. Any help appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the thread. We're pleased you could join us.

Most of us here test on waking first thing in the morning. It sounds as though you're doing everything right. If I were you, I'd raise a separate thread in the type 1 neighbourhood of the forum as well.

I was 7.8 but had a hypo and lucozade early morning. Always unpredictable. Diagnosed just pre lockdown
