What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

My last morning post using the expensive but amazing libre. I somewhat regret my concern about cost as it’s made the last 2 weeks in this unusual ( for me ) environment a useful and interesting exercise . I’ve tried local drug stores and there’s none to be had here

Anyhow 5 on the libre on waking , currently 6 while sipping coffee awaiting breakfast

Have a good week end all if you possibly can

7.6 when I opened my eyes, rising to 8.2 as I'm typing on my phone, according to the Libre that's telling me it has to go, in three more hours. Tonight my nightmares were very vivid again, and when they're worse, it shows. It's been very informative, and I don't want it to go just yet. Information gathering is addictive! But I do think I know enough... My bloods go high even on a bit of carbs, but crash down rapidly soon after. Maybe still a touch of RH. I'm pretty alright throughout the daytime. I stay elevated throughout the night due to nightmares, and worse when there are hot flashes. I got menopause confirmed by a gyno, which explains a bit of the goings on... My liver is improving. So even if my HbA1c doesn't get back to the normal range, and I keep on 42 or thereabouts, I know it's not about something I ate, did or failed to do. It's stress, AuDHD and hormones messing with me. I do what I can, and that is enough.

Which is a massive relief.

Hope everyone's well on this chill, -3 degrees morning. Hang in there.

6,9, on the Contour. I miss my little Libre, I keep looking at my phone, and there's nothing there. ;)

I do think I might stop or lessen the morning tests now... I know what goes on at night and in the morning, and why. Might be better to save the strips for weird meals and outings. Hope everyone's well!
