What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all
Later today I will go to the lab for lot of blood test. I wonder why after the blood work a lot of diabetics want to have their favorite high carb meal ?
For me initially it was to stay focused - docs had said if I can’t get my numbers down he would want to put me on meds so I said to myself I would have a treat when bloods were done if I stuck with it for 3 months….

As pizza and chocolate were probably my favorite foods I had 1 slice and 2 squares

But as I said earlier I was bitterly disappointed and made me realise that I’d much prefer my long term health over a slice of pizza!!!!

Libre 4.5 managed to get drs appt yesterday chased up endoscope appt for pr bleed. Got shiny new echo smart pen blue alongside fiasp cartridges to go with it change from novarapid prefiilled. Brightside allows half unit doses should be more effective for ratios especially when combine with exercise will take a bit of getting used not having to insert doses into librelink although imo will take more time scanning the pen than manual typing

Finished tablets and pain in feet approx 90% gone
Fasting and detoxing and researching eating plan to suit both gout and type 2 (low purine and low carb.)
Looking back I think I've had the gout thingy (pain and stiffness in knees and ankle ) for several years before type 2 dx.
