Ouch, Prem51. Glad you didn't break anything but a fall like that shakes you up and it's the next day when you realise that you have muscles etc that you didn't know about. Last time it happened to me I broke my arm in 4 places and like you gashed my head above my eye. Looked like i'd been in a fight! Keep warm, take pain relief, a relaxing bath if you have one and get plenty of rest. You can get various ointments from the local pharmacy to help with the bruising too. Hope you soon feel better.Good Morning! 6.5 at 0730.
I'm aching all over today. After staying indoors over the last few days due to the bad weather, I had cabin fever and thought I'd go out for a walk yesterday as it was sunny though cold. I slipped on black ice and gashed my head and bruised my hip and arms.
I thought I'd have a black eye today, as the gash was just at side of eye, but that hasn't happened.
Still I suppose I'm lucky not to have broken any bones.
Hope your not to badly hurt sometimes effects of a fall affect you a day or so later so take care sending big hugsGood Morning! 6.5 at 0730.

This morning my reading was 12.4 which is ok for me, yesterday it was 3.5Hello mates,
At a couple of the other forums I've frequented there was a thread like this one where we all sorta checked in each day, with our first cup of coffee or tea, and reported our fasting or waking blood glucose level and some short comment about whether we're ok with it or if not - why not?...
It worked well as a sort of 'first thread to check' each morning and post to.
I'll start.
This morning was a 5.6mmol for me. That's about normal for me
What about you?
Hope you are ok.Good Morning! 6.5 at 0730.

Hi@Troubled1 Unfortunately for your household kids school and viruses go hand in hand it's a long time since my kids where at school even my grandchildren are all working age, but I still remember very well all the children's illnesses and coughs sore throats etc.and like you said people congregate in warm rooms when it's cold outside which helps the bugs to accumulate. Your fortunate to have got away with minor colds but you seem to be a hardy lot in Canada so hopefully the bugs will pass you by?@Granny_grump_ so far our household has only dealt with a minor cold. Most of our sickness is brought home from the schools by the kids.
I think the frigid temps exasperate the problem. Nobody wants to be outside so people gather together indoors. Unfortunately the viruses gather and then spread.
Well better number ymdawdBG of 5.2 at 6.45am. A lot lot better. Am pleased with that. Am home for about 10 days or so which makes a big difference.
