What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

BG of 5.2 at 6.45am. A lot lot better. Am pleased with that. Am home for about 10 days or so which makes a big difference.

@Ymdawd great numbers and the being at home will help you maintain, only hiccup is Christmas but that's a lot of others problems too. But at least you will know what's in the food and make some better choices hopefully for all of us. Take care K
 
Morning all 8.7 this morning, pretty bad night in a lot of pain, then finally got to sleep about 5.30 to wake up at 09.00, I’m assuming it’s a combination of pain liver dump as I had a fasting day yesterday. Christmas Day take 1 today, so Merry Christmas everyone . My daughters are here so it will be a good day. Enjoy your day.

Just enjoy your family get together and hopefully with you fasting they won't be high for long! But when you have a lot of pain and little sleep this can play havoc with our BG levels. Take care Paula
 
@Granny_grump_ Glad you are feeling better,and managed to do some Christmas shopping.Take things easy and don't push yourself too hard.Im sure you'll make a lovely Christmas for everyone.Our day is to be scaled down from last year,when two of our children were here with grandchildren,it was wonderful.This year my step daughter is doing Christmas for us,so we will be staying at their new house which will be lovely.I just keep feeling I've left things off my list,it's much shorter than usual.The only thing I'm allowed to make is the trifle!!

Thank you Kathleen, yes Despite me knowing it’s not my normal, I do worry about it and wonder if I should be on any meds.... to go with the collection I’m already on . I’m really looking forward to today it will be good having the girls here.

@paula121s Sorry you've so much pain,hope things get better today.....enjoy your early Christmas,it's lovely to have family around at this time of year.Mine are all in different places and we are miles apart.....love seeing them all together.

Thank you. Yes mine are spread out too, one up north near Sheffield and the others in the West Country. We always have an early Christmas if they are going to partners families.

Hi @paula121s have you heard anything from your consultant yet about the steroid injection they are going to give you, I know it's not long since you saw them but they did say you would have it before Christmas,and even if the secretary has gone off sick there has to be someone to take over from her. Give the hospital a call and Mather them about it. But firstly enjoy your girls while they are here! K
