What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.6 mmol/l. Been trending <10 mmol/l on rising over the last 5 weeks. Before it was averaging 15-20 mmol/l. Increased insulin, more exercise and carb restricted diet seem to be working. And I am not zombified on waking too with more energy and not wanting to go back to bed. :)

OK, so what with it being Easter and lots of chocalholics herein some information some may find useful.
Just had delivered 2.5 kgs (5.5 Lbs) of 100% cocoa mass from Callebaut via Amazon. Carbs are 5.5% compared to 8% on labels of Lindt 99% and Montezuma 100%. Use by is 2020 so lots of chocolate experiments. (Never buy your wife an ipad and mention you like hot chocolate)

Edit: @Goonergal hope the managerial stress is not pushing up fbg and since you should spank Stoke handily all will be fine at goonergal towers :joyful: You by Monday!

Good morning all. Thanks so much for the hugs and kind wishes, @philchap1, @ianpspurs and @Freema. They definitely cheer me and also seem to help a lot. Blood sugars are on the way down again. They were 4.8 at 6:45 a.m., then went back to bed. At 11 a.m., they were 5.1.

@Granny_grump_ Wow, great blood sugars at 6:40.
@Ymdawd -- Really well done.

@ziggy_w That is really good news and all your own work! The even better news is that, in the words of that great philosopher H Rednapp Esq, you are a top. top lady

@heavyd good to see you back on here again and you've managed to keep from high spikes so great, my BG is all over the place at moment so I do sympathise I feel better in the 5 s but every morning my BG is in 6 s it lowers in day to 4 s then back to 6 s it's a real pain keeping from spikes but like yourself we have to keep trying. Keep well ! K

Hi heavyd it's a real mystery this diabetes sometimes we get away with eating what usually spikes our BG then when we are trying to be good it gives us raised BG. Can't work the darn thing out! K

I can get different reading's from different fingers or hands lol

I’ve tried it before during and after meds tea and showers before and 5 mins apart with different testing strips -it’s fascinating it’s a bit like getting on the dreaded bathroom scales. Tentative first test, get off, try again, third time, best of three lol

Update to BG this morning
5.25 am was 6.5
9.20 am was 6.3 after 2 cups coffee only
At 11.10 am I had my brunch meal
2 slices bacon mushrooms and 1 toast BG before my meal was 5.8
BG 2 hours later was 6.4
This usually drops to somewhere in 4 s before next meal! K

Yes Granny, cannula stopped working so slightly over treated a high.
@philchap1 glad your ok I know from your previous posts that it's usually a problem with the cannula must be a bit of a worry for you, so hope it doesn't happen too often, best wishes! K
