Hang tough sir. Your signature shows your progress. 112 in March, 40 in June so you are "going gangbusters" overall - there are periods of WTFage for us all. @Freema How long after exercise was the 7? My understanding is that "vigorous exercise" will raise bg for up to 2 hrs before dropping. However, my understanding of most things is very limited.7.3 at 6am, I could have cried. Now, I'm 5.3 after breakfast (2xsausage 2xbacon 2xeggs) and a 40min walk. Thisseems appropriate at times

If you're not an American it's really not appropriate for you to judge on a nonpolitical forum.
First time posting in this thread, on behalf of my husband (hope that's okay). 6.2 this morning......but after usual breakfast of 5% Fage yoghurt, flaked almonds, seeds and 3 strawberries and 2 raspberries this rose to 7.8! This usually gives no more rise than .5 to 1.
He is becoming increasingly frustrated as despite his hard work with diet and exercise, BG levels seem to be creeping up again. He's on 2x500mg Metformin twice a day and diet has not changed massively over the past few weeks. His average has increased from around 6.5 to 7 over the last month. I realise this isn't that bad, but we were comfortably in the 5s and 6s, with the odd foray into the low 7s. Now we seem to have moved to high 6s and 7s with the odd frustrating stray into the 8s throughout the day. We were hoping he would be heading downwards and not upwards!
Any ideas? His BP meds have changed in the last month - reduction of ramipril down to 5mg from 10mg and introduction of a beta blocker (bisopropol). Exercise has stepped up a little, but not massively. Our diet is lowish carbs, but not Keto (between about 40-60g a day, no more than 20g per meal, generally). He is almost at target weight after losing over 3-4 stone and we need to start looki g maintenance. No idea how to go about it, as scared if pushing levels up further, even with increased fat. Help!
I’ve not got experience of insulin or coming off it and it’s impact but others may?Oh, and I should mention he has been off insulin for over a month now too. Levels were stable as he came off the long acting...but have gradually crept up over the past few weeks.
Tricking you will be an Arden @JohnEGreen"
Sing no more ditties, sing no more
Of Liver dumps so dull and heavy.
The fraud of men was ever so
Since summer first was leafy.
Then sigh not so, but let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into hey, nonny, nonny."
It's all much ado about nothing
