What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.2 today. Higher than usual but expected as I invited my friend for dinner yesterday. 3 courses! Low carb...ish. Mine lower than hers. But there was wine involved. And i made mousaka using a jar of white sauce.

Later today I'm meeting about 50 girls from my old school (all girls school) as we say au revoir to our old headmistress who is moving to Harrogate. Big move I feel at 92 but she is still as strong as an ox. A nun (says it all). It's an afternoon tea affair (hot sweats!) I wont be partaking (fingers crossed!). I have my hba1c to think of which is due November!

Happy Friday.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who have realised that today is Friday.

An unsurprising 7.2 greeted me this morning, closely followed by a growling Mrs J demanding I make her tea.

Must go more blood tests have a good one folks.

7.1, pleased with that, going in the right direction. Seeing the DN on Monday for tweaks to insulin. Lovely sunny day here in London, hair appointment at 2pm then husband and I are off to a Quiz night tonight. Fish and chip supper, a bit naughty, but I shall just have half a portion, I have no doubt that Mr P will hoover up the rest.

Morning all. Slept late after an exhausting day yesterday. FBS was 7.5 at 9.25am. The sun is shining on what would have been my lovely dad's 93rd birthday. Enjoy your Friday one and all and to all those who are struggling I hope things improve for you very soon.:)

The tea seems a very reasonable request to me.. yay to mrs Alf!

I know it’s not an exact science but can any of you give me a fought, very tough guide my bloods are usually around 6 and I’ve got THE BLOOD TEST coming up shortly, can anyone suggest what a rough translation is from fbg to hba1c

@Goacher55 as you will know fbgs aren't any indicator of an HbA1c test result as bgs might be higher or lower over the courseof the day.
But an HbA1c result of 35.3 (IFCC) would be an average of 6.0mmol/L over the previous 8-12 weeks.
