What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. My morning blood sugar scores are 4.2 , I didnt quite believe it so did it again and it was 4.3 so most probably true. ................................................ It could have been a result of Tennis in the afternoon followed by the evening out ...... a nicely cooked steak , several glasses of red wine and a whisky. - ------------- Today I've promised faithfully to sort the large falling apart compost heap so it can be redistributed for this years planting, fingers crossed the storm stays at bay for a while.... ,,, ,,,,, or is a storm the perfect excuse ? Such are my dilemmas today ......

Morning...after a very lazy day yesterday I'm resolved to do some work today... yesterday I succumbed to a KitKat...some chips and the comfy chair for most of the day...am I weak willed...no I just needed them...enjoyed them now its time to move on...woke to a 5.9...good to be back in the fives.

No testing since December 14 so no numbers but i seem to have sorted the sleeping to a sensible time for me - 6.00 am will do. Diet still needs work - 3.5 years in all I know is Keto and me can't happily co-exist for a whole week. Great journeys unfolding on here so well done guys. @SaskiaKC, @jjraak, @Bubbsie and all who wander off the LC evangelists yellow brick road - a very old take on that is
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean.

Out last night to an engagement party so picking at the buffet like a vulture at a carcass- pealing sausage rolls and pork pies, shunning the sandwiches and filling up on salad. Oh! Chicken goujons - result.
So a jabberwocky of a 6.0 on the frumious chance wheel of fun and bewilderment at 0700 this morning.
Round two will be a christening at lunch time today - boing! Said Zeberdee.

Amazing time compression there - engagement to baptism overnight. I'm in awe of those guys. No withdrawal period obviously.:angelic:

good morning all :)

4.7 today

it's bright but chill and windy here so if I take mum's wee dog out later I shall have to lag myself I think ;)

@ianpspurs I'm not an ultra low catber/ keto body either, I try to keep my daily average to between 50 and 80g of carb, which mostly works for me - to each his own :)

Hope your weekend is going well everyone :)

Ah yes, but I can clearly see LC works for you control wise. I don't yet feel mine is especially controlled (I wouldn't feel comfortable getting in a car with a driver who had the equivalent level of control of what they were doing) .

That is what I normaly would be doing but looking back over the last week I have rarely gone above 40 gms of carbs on any day

I am not producing ketones hardly above 0.2 and yesterday my blood sugars rose steadily throughout the day going from
4.3 to 5.5, 5.6 6.0 6.7 then 8.8 then dropping back down 5.5 and then at bed time 5.2 all on 32 gms of carbohydrates for the day.

So I am not sure keto is the complete solution for me as I have put weight on at the same time not a lot but some.
