What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Libre again woke me up at 3:30 AM giving me a reading of 3.4 didn't finger prick as too sleepy.

Went for 4th Covid jab this morning.

Hi JohnEGreen I’ve had my 5th Covid jab in September this year but hubby only had his 4th same time has myself think it went on age I’m well in my 70s K

Hi PenguinMum
Feeling a bit low mood this morning so hubby and I went to Trafford Centre outside of Manchester just to get out for a while. Not many cafes at Barton Square end of Trafford only found a Pizza place but I felt light headed and a bit wobbly so we shared a pepperoni pizza half each. Will check out the damage tomorrow morning. K

Hi Granny_grump yes I'm in my 70s too had 3 full doses of vaccine then got covid and have been avoiding further jabs till now had a breathing test this morning to see what damage covid pneumonia has done long term.

Hi John my son who has spinal injuries from his chest down so his lungs don’t completely inflate has had Covid three times upto now due to jobs of his wife manager for local council over library’s at moment and daughter in law who is a physiotherapist for people with breathing problems bringing it home without knowing it.
He’s suffered from long Covid with extreme fatigue and can only work from home now he’s a finance manager for council, what I’m saying is he’s been told that having had Covid he’s also built up some immunity so you May hopefully be surprised if it’s again hopefully it’s not done has much damage has you expected.
So hopefully you have good results from your breathing test results good luck to you, but why have you only had 3 Covid jabs upto now??? K

its all possible if you look after your diet cut down on carbs ie:- potatoes rice pasta anything high in carbs has carbs just turn to sugar in your body so good luck to being in the 5s I’m on the same road has you also hope to be in 5s but being in 6s is great numbers too so don’t beat yourself up this diabetic road is a long one and like myself sometimes we get lost in it all but I’m trying to get back to where I was a few years ago so good luck to you and this journey we are all on. K

I leave the thread for a while and what happens? Lots of you are chatting a bit too much with not much reporting of fasting levels!:banghead:.
Don’t want to name names, yet. Will if I have to, so please remember there is a chatty version of this thread. In the chat forum.
Please play nice, as I am really not up to deleting posts.

To stay on track , I report after a horrible lurgy I am testing again, and this morning my fasting level was 7.0, which though far from ideal, is acceptable under the circumstances.
