What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Ha, 6.0 at 6am. Second day of shifting sleep to earlier. Not making any assumptions just yet.:)
Well done! It didn't work for me this morning, I went to bed last night at 10:30 but didn't get up until 7:30 FBG was 5.9. I'm pretty sure it was the thick slice of home cooked ham that was very lonely, needed eating and beckoned from the plate late on last night, but as I had had something to eat earlier, it was definitely not the thing I needed. I've already messed up this evening's food as I was out most of the day so ended up having a late lunch around 2:30. Always fatal when I do that - Just rubbish discipline on my part. :bag: Tonight I've had some cheese and a keto shake for supper, hoping that wont have too much of a negative effect and that I can last through the evening without hunger. Lets see what tomorrow brings.

Don't be so hard on yourself young lady - are you more Jess Glynne or Lionel Blue? You made it to remission so you're fine. Btw, 10.30 as an early bedtime???

What are the keto shakes @Ryhia ? Maybe I could try that.
Late to bed last night, or rather early hours in morning, still up early, but 7.0 Fasting level. Will try early again today.

They are just Slimfast Keto Fuel Shakes. Not sure of the "goodness" of them. They are around £10 (Boots) a tub of 10 servings. Chocolate, Mocha, and Creamy Vanilla. I got some of the chocolate a few weeks ago at Farm Foods They were selling them off at £4.99. I couldn't drink the stuff all the time far too sweet (contains sucralose and acesulfame K - don't know how bad that is. A servinc contains 3.8gms of carbs and 199 cals. I have never really checked how big the spike is but after 2 hrs bloods are back to what they were. I really should do a bit more research. :)

Yay, FBG 5.9 at 7.30 this morning.

I’m putting it down to my fish dinner, plus yesterday’s exercise. Fish at night always does give me a reduced morning reading, I should have more but sometimes I just want a steak!

Have a good day all
Think it through young'un :D
